How to Tame Hamster and Minimise Biting

So I've been asking for one for years and I finally got one for Christmas.. The problem is, my parents got a small and one level home with bars, I have heard bars are not good for cage biters and the small cage makes it less entertaining and the more toys I give to bite on the more the cage is crammed... I'm hoping to get a bigger and a safer cage for my little hammy! Any ideas for this?

Gosh all the hamsters I had when I was a kid were aggressive and would lunge at you. I guess the pet shops must have been really rough and abusive with them. I can’t believe how those hamsters trusted you so much

I've had my beautiful rescue Syrian boy Ping for over 2 months now, he is my first hamball and my neighbours got him from Pets at Home and had him for about 6 months before realising that they didn't really know how to take care of him and only got him for the 1 year old baby and just left him alone most of the time. They didnt even know what to feed him and took out his wheel because it was "noisy at night" and had no idea that hamsters are nocturnal! I had to bring him stuff to make him live less miserably and even considered breaking into the house to save him because unfortunately the RSPCA have limited powers 😢 It was awful because he was in a small cage too but now he lives in 2 Pawhuts stacked on top of eachother with all the enrichment, treats and food he could ever dream of and i tell him everyday that he is loved 🥰 He instantly warmed up as soon as he came into my home, always takes treats from my hand and will sometimes accept being petted, but he is very hesitant about being handled... I wouldn't like to think he was abused because i would be ready to throw some hands, those neighbours were coke heads and I strongly believe people should be screened before they are allowed an animal because they're a big commitment no matter how small they are and they are family too.

when you get a new ham home let it settle for as long as it takes
slowly introduce your sent smell to ham back hand
keep room quiet no sudden movements talk softly
introduce sweet treats to gain trust / do it in stages they soon come round if your PATEINT
never rush your ham some take longer than others to trust you its not a toy and think how Big you are to this tiny little furball that thinks you want to eat it a lot is common sense / i have had hams all my life i am now 62 and still have one a new one called diesel as he runs alot on his wheel xx my last ham was snooty i even got her a grave marker saying mummy loved you x and she didnt like her wheel much hahahah x

As a black American we take them up first pet them and if they bite we put them back. I have 5 hamsters I literally have a Lego railway and a bunch of tunnels me and my cousin(we are 24 and experienced) we play with them in the ac we make them glide on are hands or we make a floatable Lego boat and put them in it and I have five😮‍💨😌it s GODDAMN hard they only get treats if they be good(I have 2 females 1 baby for now and a two males they eat very healthy when I wake my cousin puts a hamsters on my head I smack the shit out of her when she does that I hope you like my review!

i have 4 little baby hamsty. Pochi the Papa King, Namae the Bite Queen, Chichon the little racer, and Chuchen the glutton pirate. Pochi is a sweetpie. Namae bites since baby and i tried few tips but she stay the Bite Queen. Now her baby, Chichon and Chuchen takes her biting DNA. Can you help me be friend with them? :(
