The chopped plant scraps could they be placed around container vegetable plants without attracting pests or causing mold?
ОтветитьGreat resourceful video - thank you!!! Question: when you spread chopped extra greens on the soil does that not invite unsolicited animals like rodents, etc? Tks for your response :)
ОтветитьCima di rapa is great! Super sweet like if they have butter in them, especially flowers! The ‘Ci’ of ‘Cima’ is pronounced like ‘Chi’ of ‘Chimpmunk’! ‘Cima’ means ‘Top’ (of the plant in this case)
ОтветитьThis is a great video.
ОтветитьCima di rapa is actually pronounced like "cha cha cha"
ОтветитьHi, great ideas that I will try. Did you buy cima(ci is ch in italian, so it's "cheema") di rapa locally?? Thanks. Is this in the broccoli family?
ОтветитьYou mentioned adding sea salt in a video. I've been binge watching. Expensive here so I use Epsom salts. Info in your videos is great and I love the comments too. From Connecticut U. S. A. In our 70's. Thanks for your videos.
Ответить你太厉害了
ОтветитьSooo informative! I rewatch this and other videos often! Have learned so much and my garden has matured into a beautiful space that also produces a LOT of food for my family and sharing with neighbors! 😊💖🌿💚🌼
Ответитьhere in crete we stuff the zuccini flowers with rice
ОтветитьDanke!
ОтветитьGreat video
Ответитьradish... I hate radishes, makes me wanna puke.
ОтветитьYou actually named two of the most popular veggies here in Italy! Cime di rapa are used in a famous Apulian dish, with a kind of pasta called Orecchiette (= little ears), a kind of coarse short pasta. You sauté some garlic in a pan with olive oil, add the Cime, add salt pepper and small chili peppers (peperoncino) and add to the pasta. Zucchini flowers are delicious dipped in a batter of water and flour and then fried in a pan with olive oil, some of us like them sweet sprinkled with sugar, others salted. Another great recipe is fill them with mozzarella and anchovies, batter then fry 😍
ОтветитьGreat ideas thanks Huw!
ОтветитьHello from Zambia, Hew. Would you add lime to amend acidic soil?
ОтветитьHow do you protect pakchoi and the cabbage family from aphids and pests without danger to your own health system?
ОтветитьI never knew broad bean leaves could be eaten.good video..🙂
ОтветитьC(h)ima de Rapa (CI is always CHI in Italian) :-D. This gets me thinking that it's realted to Rape. I've been seeing something that looked like a cousin of my broccoli and other brassicas growing wild at the moment. I guess it's wind sown Rape from the locals farm fields. Now I know it's edible, I'm going to be out there foraging!!
Courgette flowers are wonderful!! Another Italian delicacy. Remove the stamen, stuff with cream cheese then dip in batter and pan fry - fantastic!!
