Flak Jacket Nerf Details! | Was it Enough? (Cold War Patch)

After all these years, it still take a rocket, a semtex and 2 40mm grenades in quick succession to take out someone with flak jacket

The flak jacket is funny most campers even got a trophy system so you won’t even get that hit marker most of the time

Still needs to be nerfed hardcore 3, launcher shots and still alive due to flak jacket irl you'd be dead either way

they are too busy with warzone and literally people are not playing cold war bc of how lazy they are, i regret buying this game. I just want to get the dm ultra but fucking launchers is too painful.

I think flak jacket needs to be set on a timer first hit you loose it and comes back in 15-20 seconds but 3 rockets to kill is insane

before the nerf 2 C4 would not kill them

Flak Jacket should increase fire damage taken in my opinion so we have a counter to it and a reason to actually use molotov cocktails. Also isn't the jacket highly flammable anyhow?

It is still over powered, I mainly play hard-core and whether with launcher or m79 grenade launcher it takes 3 shots if they land next to a person. I understand it being strong in core but the strength In hard core is nuts

As someone who is currently doing the skins for the launchers the "nerfx they did, was f*cking assenine, currently playing hardcore 2 explosives right next to your feet should be death, not supersoaker 5000

So I’m confused. For me, flak jacket doesn’t work? Like, isn’t it supposed to protect you from explosives? I still die from prox mines and such despite having flak jacket and not taking damage from anything else. But I’ll shoot enemies with a tank shell and they’ll survive a direct hit because they have flak jacket. Am I missing something? Is it just different that it was in previous games?

I don't think a direct rocket should kill you. Its not hard to do that. And that's the point of flak jacket. Although it should only take 2 shots next to somebody kill them.

Hmm... Regarding flak jacket against smaller explosives like grenades and C4, a well deserved nerf that could probably do with a bit more of a nerf. It is an explosive after all and the flak jacket should be saving you but not by much... For a ROCKET LAUNCHER though, this whole thing is a mess. No reasonable amount of explosive resistant armor should save you from a point blank rocket blast, period. I think anybody with two brain cells to rub together can tell you this is a problem, video game physics or not. I can only suspend my disbelief so much and every interaction in this game, or any cod really, with explosive resistance and rocket launchers is nonsensical. We should only carry 2 at maximum, 1 off a fresh (re)spawn and if you're in the lethal radius, flak jacket or not, your ass should be dead. There's a reason the military uses rockets on tanks and buildings and not individual human beings. Again, I get it, this is a video game. But trying to make me believe you should ever survive an explosive weapon that is used on buildings and vehicles only is not happening...

I think flak jacket should get similar balancing like ghost, it only works when your moving/defending an objective.

This games is senseless, moronic and ridiculous. It takes a rpg 2 to 3 shots to kill you but yet some assclown who quick scopes you from across the board and not even coming close to hitting you and its a one shot kill. Way to go treyarch once again you prove how you lack common sense
