ОтветитьWindows 10 ?
ОтветитьI installed Linux to a usb drive clicked erase disk and install it created a edit partition on the usb drive but it but the boot file on my windows drive I tried this command and it keeps popping back up like it’ll disappear from the list in the terminal and then restart boom it’s back this is why Linux is bad because of Linux touching my windows drive with me telling it to it was on the usb drive and the usb drive only when I installed it but boop it put the boot file for the Linux install for the usb to my windows drive and can’t hit rid of it so fuck Linux Linux is trash don’t ever install it I see now why Linux isn’t used as much cuz it’s garbage
ОтветитьNice, its Works in SteamOS, thx
ОтветитьThank You... I had two Fedora entries. Only one was valid. I have a question.... Why do some Distros put their name in the F11 Boot menu - while Other Distros just leave the default drive name ? I also wish that Linux ... seems like they all will snoop around the entire computer to find things that are operating systems and put it into the boot menu of choices. Why don't they all just mind their own business.
ОтветитьThanks Lenny, u save my day😉
Ответитьneed it so long, thank you
ОтветитьMate u just solved my problem. It had been bugging me for days.😕
ОтветитьDanke
ОтветитьAfter delete a boot order which is 0003 and i restarted, i went into my boot and it was still there. I ran the command again and i got a second boot order of 0004. Can you please help
ОтветитьThank you sir this is vary helpful!
Ответитьwow thx for this
ОтветитьClear and exact answer. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you in 2020!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this I had like 5 or 6 entries for pop_os on my boot menu now I am down to 1 pop_os, windows and my drives looks so much better now.
ОтветитьThanks a lot boss 👍🏽
ОтветитьHmm when I try "sudo efibootmgr" I get:
"Skipping unreadable variable "Boot0000": Operation not permitted"
Anyone knows why that would be happening ?
that was a big help, thank you
ОтветитьPerfect! Thank you very much!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThanks a lot it worked like a charm
Ответить"EFI variables are not supported on this system" is what I get after typing "sudo efibootmgr". Launched Linux mint from USB stick. My pc only has Windows 10 and Linux Mint has been deleted. Everything works fine but I want to get rid of Ubuntu in BIOS boot menu
ОтветитьThere is no G in HEX
ОтветитьAt first, you seemed slow, after some time, you are the best one to follow. I want to give you a huge thanks 👍👍
ОтветитьHello. Thank you for the video. I want to know if there is something wrong with having old boot options in the boot menu. Does it cause any damage at all? Even if it is not the first boot option...what is the down side of having an "unwanted" boot entry? Thanks!
Ответитьit's work.. thanks 😆😆
ОтветитьAwesome walkthru. I've now fully removed Manjaro and Archlabs from my boot manager. Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks, I'm new in the Linux world and had installed POP_OS several times and my bootmenu had too much entries :) now its clean again.
ОтветитьHi I'm using elementary os and I got this error "EFI variables are not supported on this system" when I execute the sudo efibootmgr. Do you have any idea how to fix this?
ОтветитьThank you, friend. you explained this very well.
ОтветитьJust wanted to drop a note to say thanks for clear and concise video! Worked great!
ОтветитьPerfect! Thank you very much! Perfect solution!
ОтветитьYou hairy genius of a man! you're damn right I am going to buy you a coffee, even if I have only a few pounds left
ОтветитьJust the instructions I was looking for... Thank you!
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьFast and very practical thx
ОтветитьThanks Lenny.
ОтветитьGot an HP Elite 8200, I had Fedora on it. Now I want to put FreeBSD on it and cannot, reason unknown. The booting still sees the Fedora that isn't there, gets partway into the boot process of the FreeBSD and hangs, also cannot re-install Fedora. I can boot LinuxMint, but following your instructions, LM does not display a boot list to delete an entry
ОтветитьNice! Works fine... Thank so much
ОтветитьIt dint work bro
ОтветитьI tried so many times before, watching others videos and didn't work. Thank you so much for sharing this.
ОтветитьThat was helpful. Any idea how to do the same in CentOS 7
ОтветитьHi, that's a good explanation. However, the boot number is in hexadecimal ( 0 - F), so it's not possible to get a boot number of 001G.
Ответитьwhat program do you use for intro and closing videos?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. The only time I haven't had this problem is when I wasn't dual booting. If I leave Windows installed and reinstall a Linux distro, the boot entries keep piling up. If I only install Windows or Linux, all the extras are gone. I wonder why no one has shared this before? Thanks again.
ОтветитьThanks alot i got your messege on the other video. If u have a chance check out antergos install. Its based on Arch Linux if u have done that before. U just don't have to go through all the procsses of doing the packege building and all that its a regualer installer. The other problem i'm having with that OS is the video card driver from nvidia on that. So i'm not sure if i'm going to get a chance to use it. I'm running regeuler Arch with no problem. Thanks for the video have very good rest of the day
ОтветитьThank u so much. I haven't got it to work. i treid in a none EFI OS but i think u need to be in OS thats EFI is that right. I also tried in live cd of antergos but it didn't show anything. So i'm having hard time with this. But going to keep on trying thanks
