Additional info on the dagger Keening according to Wiki: "Keening cannot be recharged with a soul gem. The enchantment has infinite uses in theory, but is incapable of being recharged, making it a single-use enchantment, after which it is rendered on par with an Elven dagger in terms of damage and weight. One method to ensure the enchantment never drains is to wear enchanted apparel with the fortify destruction enchantment."
But: "It is possible to get Keening with a functioning enchantment by using the console command: playerenchantobject 0006A13C 000AA157, this will make a copy of Keening with a functioning version of "Keening's Sting" that is rechargeable."

Correct me if I’m wrong, because I haven’t played Skyrim in a while, but I don’t remember the shiv being unique. I’m pretty sure each prisoner in Cidhna Mine had one that you could loot if you killed them.

Update: I just checked, and yes, the shiv is not unique.

Valdr's Lucky Dagger can be improved at a grindstone forever though. With smithing at lvl 100 only a dragonbone dagger has higher damage rating.

The poacher's axe can be disenchanted for the enchantment. If you put the enchantment on a woodcutter's axe and rename it, it's basically the same but better, AND can cut wood, so a neat 2-in-1

With miraaks sword the counter balance to the sword being god ugly is that it has the highest base damage while only having a weight of 3

I thought it was part of the base game since it was my first time buying Skyrim (and it was a pretty good deal on steam).
It easily became my most favorite dagger in the game ‘cuz it looked cool, the name sounds cool and it has a base damage of 13.

Red eagles bane is very misleading for its enchantment it makes undead flee but it makes all enemies on fire

Mehrunes dagger is good for a starter weapon because you don't need any soul gems to recharge the enchantment and if used and with the proper build or defense and health then it might be the most op weapon for a starter in a Skyrim playthrough although smithing It and increasing the damage is highly encouraged as it may be a bit more useful when in more high leveled enemy situations.

Goldbrand for me. With the skills and perks I have , it does 58 damage excluding the enchantments and weights like 16 only

I killed a dragon recently (I think it was a legendary dragon) and I got a dagger called Daerdric Dagger Of Annihilating. It does 33 damage, and the enchantment is- Summoned daedra up to level 36 are sent back to oblivion. Very useful dagger, I carry it with me all the time now.
