I can’t remember exactly but I think if she’s with you the whole time and she still has loyalty to Vlakkith and you call her stupid she doesn’t even respond. It was just a pained look on her face. It felt similar to when Shart gets cast out by Shar at the end of the Nightsong quest if she saves Aylin. I need to do that sequence again to make sure.

You don't actually need to meet Vlaakith. Lae'zel will move to Shadowlands after you talk to Kith'rak in the previous room.

My girl arrived in stunning armor using a nice sword then ended up in an ugly barbarian winter outfit with a caveman weapon. The tadpole doing its job pretty great.

Weird that they put her in the shadow cursed lands alive and let the darkness tick her down to dead if they weren't expecting you to be able to save her. I'd have thought they'd just put her their dead as soon as you enter.

Damn. Lae'zel is downright kind by Githyanki terms- she keeps offering the PC chance after chance to accept help.

What if you leave a permanent light source next to her so she doesn't succumb to the curse, like the shining staver of skulls, then progress on?

Her surviving so long without artefact shows that the "transformation order" wasn't sent that early as I think Emperor claimed. I mean at that point she should be either enthralled by Absolute or turned into mindflyer.

Going to the Creche feels so out of place for anyone other than Lae'zel and Githyanki Tav. I struggle with a lore reason to go to the Creche everytime. I just do it because you kind of have to in order for Lae'zel to start doubting Vlaakith. I know this is an unpopular opinion but sometimes more streamlined story telling tells a better story, doing BOTH the mountain pass and the Underdark is kind of silly from a narrative perspective. I wish they blended together like instead of the Underdark entrance being in the Selune temple, its underneath the Creche instead or something close. Open world games that give a ton of exploration but have an urgent "im going to die" plot, annoy the hell out of me from a narrative standpoint. Cyberpunk had the exact same problem. I LOVE this game and its combat and build crafting are phenomenal and the story it does tell is fantastic, the characters are all deep and fleshed out, I just with there was just a small smidgen less of choice as to where you can go. I hate the fact that theres two ways to the Shadowlands.

When I did a companions playthough everyone either disappeared or I found them dead in act 2 lol they cant do anything without you

Well, we do know that hags can cure normal illithid tadpoles. It'll obviously come at a very steep price but it can be done 👀
