love the way you put it with the snares 2,4,6,8 awesome way to put it job well done.
ОтветитьThank you! Best video ever!
ОтветитьThis is so good. The playlist for timing is amazing! Such a resource. Thanks!
ОтветитьHow to differentiate between the 1 and 5? For me 1 and 5 are identical. The loop ends at 4!
ОтветитьI would have liked this much more if he would have counted the one just to see if I were doing it right
ОтветитьHas the beat of a Merengue... March it is my a typical Salsa beat.
ОтветитьI am talking about the first song.
Ответитьhey thanks for the vides, but I am not able to find this video in the playlist linked in the description. is this different from the playlist?
ОтветитьAwesome and instructive video. Thanks! Salsa beginner
ОтветитьIf you are a drummer count this as 8th notes... 1-&-2-&-3-&-4-&. In his example, the '5' would actually be the next bar of 8th notes and the next '1'.
ОтветитьSAMPLES MUSIC IS SO EASY !!!! MONEY FOR NOTHING
ОтветитьAmazing amazing amazing. I’ve been struggling so much with learning timing to dance. Video read breaks it down so well and clear. Amazing content. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is so helpful!!! I'm a dancer but I really don't know much about the concept of 8 counts until I had to try choreography. I usually don't count but sense it from the repetition of beats/instruments about where the 1 count starts.
Thank you!!
Hi, thx for the lesson. WhAT is the difference between 1 and 5 in the first (and in general) track?
ОтветитьHow can I connect with you for private lessons ?
ОтветитьI m not sure how people find this tutorial helping. I m not a professional, but I think what professionals do not understand is that there are relativeness in choices. What is your choice of a beat qualified being one? Then the instructors should say for example, that the highest beat or else is my critique to choose one bit as one. Or says that all musicians choose the highest beat. But, you can choose any other quality of a beat by your choice as your one. Second, there is a melody on the background that has no one. Or normally we do not seek a quality within it to select one. That means we need another instrument fit a quality that we choose as one. But many instructors tend to fit a one in that melody even. How is that possible?
ОтветитьExcellent ! Thank you for one a the best videos on how to find the one in a beat.
ОтветитьI’ve searched and searched for a tutorial that I could understand and connect with especially on songs that don’t start on the 1. Yours is the first to actually help me. It was technical and practical. I immediately went to try your technique on other songs and got it!!! Thank you sooo much!
ОтветитьVery useful. New to dance and glad i found this video. Thanks.
ОтветитьThis was a great lesson
Ответитьgreat great
ОтветитьSuper helpful walk through. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan you explain to me why Dancers count to 8 - so 2 bars - while musicians count one bar - so stop reaching the 4?
ОтветитьI thought this was terrific. Great teaching approach. Thought I was flying it until the snare drum was mentioned!!! Can you explain what this is exactly???? As u can tell I know absolutely nothing about music. I take your point - need to play n listen to more music Started dance lessons.
Ответитьawesome. Good examples for beginner as like me. but these songs are a little bit slow for salsa dance 😅
ОтветитьThis was great! Very clear and easy to learn!
ОтветитьI'm a line dancer and in the beginning I wondered why the instructor would count us in as "5, 6, 7, 8" rather than "1, 2, 3, 4". Eventually I figured it out! Most line dances are structured in patterns of 8, such as a 32-count dance. However, some are not, such as the Electric Slide which is 18 counts. Hence, after all these years, people STILL mess it up at weddings lol!
ОтветитьIs there an app that displays the beats like this video?
ОтветитьThis is absolutely amazing and soooooo helpful. So many tutorials and lecture just say listening to this and that but never gives examples and analyse them like you do. Just brilliant! Hope you’d do more of these 😊 thank you!!!
ОтветитьDo all beats normally have an 8 count?
ОтветитьWowowowoow. Bro! Thanks for showing me how to count. You're the man.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🥹😭 so helpful! I needed this so much
Ответитьthank you for the video! but how do you know when to cue dancers it (eg. start 5-6-7-8) and not mistaken it for the "1"
ОтветитьIncredibly helpful video for a non-musician. Thank you!!
ОтветитьI’m using this video to try and understand beat so I can sync videos and photos to sound! It’s really helpful thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for the video. Do have any video where you do this exactly for bachata?
ОтветитьVery helpful thanks!
ОтветитьThis has opened my Eye to how to Listen to the Music. Or should I say opened my Ears to how to See music. 🤗. Absolutely Awesome, love it 👏
Ответитьty!
ОтветитьI counted 4s instead of 8s. I can't really hear a difference between the 1 and 5
ОтветитьA useful video BUT wish you had done it with Salsa songs where the beat is hard to hear, there were all simple
ОтветитьYour amazing dude
ОтветитьThis video was sooooooo helpful!! Thank you!
