I just wanted to thank you for sharing your wisdom with us all I am using this method and it works very well. I free range our ducks at the pond and thank to all the advice I got from you the ducks are very happy and so am I godbless you and be well.
ОтветитьHey mike new subscriber here i have 3 ducks
Can you please tell me what to feed them?
Great video man! Very succinct. I like how you say to "let the ducks express their duckness". Important to give your animals/livestock a good life. Whether raising for eggs or meat. They should have a god time.
ОтветитьAdorable they come when called and so did the solo chicken 😂😂😂
Ответитьlove your vids, and am just about to order my khaki campbell ducklings. I have some questions, hope you can help (it helps that you have a pond!); how large is your pond? how many ducks do you have? do the ducks eat the duckweed (green stuff floating on the pond)? do the ducks hurt the pond by adding too much nitrogen, or digging into the sides? do you limit their time in the pond? I would like to free range for the most part, will get the electric fencing for the rest of the time. i'm in S/W Florida. really looking forward to your reply...thank you in advance!
ОтветитьHaha! Brilliant!
ОтветитьI want to get ducks, i have lived with them and love them. i live on a lake, how can i make a enclosure for them with access to the lake?, thx
ОтветитьThanks Mike
I am new at ducks and have been trying to connect food to home.
This was very helpful.
How do you protect them from owls and other raptors?
ОтветитьDo you clip there wings so the don't fly or how do you deal with that?
ОтветитьJust asking, how do you make sure they don't run away? Or do ducks and chickens even do that stuff? Also thanks for the tips!!!
Ответить🌞
ОтветитьI'm surprised you didn't point out one of the main advantages of free ranging by day and safety containment at night is.... It reduces your feed costs.
ОтветитьGreat Video! God Bless
ОтветитьVery Informative, but how do you get scared ducks to listen to you?I can not let mines out of their duck pen because of them being so scared.
ОтветитьHay
ОтветитьYES! When my ducks are small I peep.peep.peep when I feed/water them. When they are older I also peep at them when I feed. So anywhere I am on the farm if I don't see the ducks or hear them or I find bugs or want them to come into the coop I will peep.peep.peep and they will answer and come running.
I also use the same bucket to feed so when they see me with that bucket they go right into their coop. Happy Homesteading! ~Shaina~
I really enjoyed this video!!
ОтветитьDo you have any issues with the ducks making the big pond dirty? I'm wondering if a pond would need to have some kind of filtration/cleaning system in it, since ducks make such a mess in water.
ОтветитьAwesome !!! Video!
ОтветитьThat was an awesome video 🥚
ОтветитьHey Mike I enjoyed your video everything about putting ducks up on a hay wagon and then closing it to protect him overnight from predators easy to harvest the eggs easy to clean just a thought email me if you get a chance like to talk to you
ОтветитьYep. That does work well. So does hollering eattie bread 🍞!!!!!
Ответитьi can not hear you speak up please my computer volume is up
ОтветитьI have a male and female fawn Indian runners and a female Peking and Khaki Campbell. (Along with guineas cats dogs chickens etc)They have free reign on our 3 acre fenced yard. We have a small pond and a few places where they can shelter themselves if need but they either sleep on the pond dam or on the water. Rain or shine. My first year for having ducks so do I need to be pining them up at night?
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьLove your quackiness ;)
Ответитьwhat is the area of pond I mean the size in sq ft
ОтветитьWhere is the sign up for members just found your channel by way of off grid with Doug and Stacy and roots & refuge channels. I am enjoying your videos. I am just starting with ducks on my homestead/farm. I was looking for the member sign up section and I think I am overlooking it.
ОтветитьThanks for taking the time to answer I appreciate it
ОтветитьQuack quack!
ОтветитьMe encantan los patos, gansos y cisnes
ОтветитьO dude. I walk out at dusk and ducks and chickens come in. They know it’s scratch time
ОтветитьBest vid ever! Quack Quack!
ОтветитьAnd another question do you have any videos of building duck coop’s
ОтветитьI have a good question how many ducks would I get if I want to all meet ducks instead of chickens
ОтветитьI love the hen, she rellt believe is a duck ☺
ОтветитьDoes the pond have to be clear and clean? My pond has a muddy bottom and is the same color as your pond. Like do they need a filter in their pond.
ОтветитьHa ha you're a real quacker. I can tell because you quack me up.
ОтветитьHello my friend how are you
How many times I need to Butcher the Ducks 3 month 4 month or more .?
And am sorry my language not perfect
Hi, is it recommended that I make my ducks come back to their “home” (cage) at night even though they dont usually go very far from it at all? They always stay with 6-8 feet from the cage... Should i be worried that one day theyd never come back?
ОтветитьHow do you get ducks to lay eggs in the same place every day?
ОтветитьDo you feed the ducks and chickens the same food? What is a good mix for them?
ОтветитьBut me ducklings r scared of me so how do I 'quack' them in??
ОтветитьYou should get rid of some males, they are too many,1 or 2 males are enought.
ОтветитьHey Mike, new subscriber here I just found your channel. My wife and I just recently got chickens and were planning on some ducks in the near future. Love your channel so far God bless you and your family
ОтветитьLove your videos! Would love to see more duck videos. We have just started raising ducks. How do you know how many ducks a natural pond can handle without it becoming polluted with fences?
Ответитьyou can use a whistle or some other such noise, not just a quack
ОтветитьThank you, i was in tears last night, and that didn't do anything to help the situation.
