Excited about this one. Thanks for watching and be sure to comment below your thoughts and give it a share and thumbs up! It massively helps me out! Thanks so much!!!!
ОтветитьAs you embraced the heavy winds and the rugged surf with such enthusiasm and delight at what they had to offer, I was reminded of the title of a book by a former colleague, “The Solace of Fierce Landscapes” by Belden Lane. Your reflections at the end about being alone and the value of having such an experience after the challenges of the previous years was a welcome reminder to me of the importance of taking time to get away to the places that nourish our souls. That’s part of the joy of landscape photography. Thank you for sharing this 30-day journey with us. I look forward to the next installments.
Ответитьcurrently watching this through your composition e book
Ответитьwhat a beautiful place and some amazing images captured, well done Nige, cant wait to watch the other Two vids.
ОтветитьI’m halfway through watching this, I’ve only just noticed that you don’t use lens caps when storing lenses. Why is this?
ОтветитьWell done, Nigel. What a great video! A truly inspiring approach to landscape photography and some truly superb images captured. I found many of your experiences rushing about in epic conditions changing gear, being torn between different yet equally epic scenes and compositions relatable, your masterful and apposite strategic choices are testament to your skill and experience. Great work
Ответитьso inspiring
ОтветитьI really like your passion, you speak with great passion. This is cool. you can infect us with photography. After each of your videos, I take my camera and leave the house :) Thanks
ОтветитьDoesnt get any better than this
ОтветитьI keep coming back to theese videos.Your best work so far. And you have done a lot of amazing work before also. I wonder; when did you visit Luskentyre? In march/april?
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video. The green water shots were amazing.
ОтветитьAmazing!! Well done, Nigel! Well done! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьAbsolutely loving this... just spell binding...
ОтветитьThis was a well worth watching video series. From my own experience I know how stressful back-pain can be and the fear of never being able to go on a photowalk or journey again. This 30 days travel journey has inspired me. It has renewed some of my ideas for 2023 and beyond. Probably not 30 days in a row but definitely I will make multiple journeys in the Waddensea area (which looks like Luskentyre beach, but then without the mountains and rocks). Thank you for sharing your experiences. I ordered the book 🙂
ОтветитьI love ur videos I love take photography 📸🌤
ОтветитьGreat stuff Nigel, but I wonder if the Wife minded you being away for such a while?
ОтветитьSome amazing photography. Great work.
ОтветитьThis is so peaceful
ОтветитьFabulous Nigel! Wonderful images and a stunning video...what a location!
Ответить🎖️ I've watched EVERY landscape video from every worthy creator and this Expose' sits at the top.
For me, my #1 takeaway was TIME.
With Time, many great things are possible.
A+ execution and effort on this one. 👍
This video is just pure unfiltered landscape photography with it's highs, lows, tranquillity and organised chaos!! Recently the videos from the photography community has been dominated with tutorials, tips and gear advice (which is definitely valued)... but this video is exactly what has been missing! Although many of us amateurs haven't got the means to travel for 30 days at a time, this is the most relatable video I have seen conveying the excitement and emotion of being emersed in beautiful nature and trying to do the landscape justice during a shoot! Absolutely amazing work and the best video I have seen from the community in a long time! On to part 2! 🤩
ОтветитьShould be very proud of this.
ОтветитьFeeling pressure to get the shots on the first day, is a sure sign that you needed the time you've given for this project. Very monastic, or very zen. I envy you.
ОтветитьAmazing content! Loved it so much! Hope you get your back toguether again! Thank you for bringuing these amazing places to us! I'm starting with photography in a more serious level, and your videos are such a help and inspiration. 🙂💪
ОтветитьWhat is the device on top of your camera with the light blue connectors?
ОтветитьWow! What a gorgeous place and you captured it beautifully. Nicely done and great video. Thanks for sharing it.
Ответить... what an amazing place! beautiful pictures! 🌅🌅🌅😍
ОтветитьThis is exactly how my month at a 4 mile stretch of seaside landscape panned out. It was a recon mission, but call it what you want. It' was amazing, and lots of material. Proof, that shooting a landscape you know, is better. The conditions are neve the same, so you're bound to get new sights and insights. If it's close to home, you're in a luck. I thing I actually prefer the project-view of a shoot. Spending a number of days in a row in one location. It's gold!!
ОтветитьLiving the dream, am I envious you betcha, beautiful captures...
ОтветитьMy first thoughts were ... an hour video ... no way I'm watching an hour video. I'll give it a few minutes. Ten minutes in, I was hooked. What a brilliant concept (30 days/one scene), and so well executed. I have no idea how your wife let take this trip alone, but there really is no other way to be able to spend this much time on photography without distractions. Now, I am looking forward to the next one hour video in this series.
ОтветитьKudos to you guys. As an old film photographer turned need, this is a long overdue topic. Camera software has been overlooked for way too many years. Why has it not changed with the times? I set mine up and rarely alter the settings. I use Nikon and it's the most unintutive, inefficient software for a purpose dependent on fast, easy use. Add to that needing Bluetooth and wifi and cloud storage and image transfer and you have an overly complex and frustrating system. Get Apple to port ios to a freaking camera!!!
ОтветитьSuch a great adventure, and the photos - fantastic
ОтветитьGreat trip and excellent video
ОтветитьThis is incredible, people are definitely slacking on sharing your work. I will from now on, this video is great from start to finish! The pictures look amazing
ОтветитьMuito lindo. Que belo portfólio deu pra fazer neste incrível local
ОтветитьGreat video and stunning images as always Nigel. Instead of changing lenses why not fit another lens to your back up body?
ОтветитьExcellent Nigel! Loved the video and the shots you got. I truly gets me into a tranquil mind space. I must've watched this more than twice. Look forward to the book.
ОтветитьAlright I kind of questioned your sanity when I read the title but now I understand. I am really looking forward to about 35 other instances of "It doesn´t get better than this!" :)
ОтветитьTruly amazing!! Stunning photos and beautiful footage. It doesn't get any better than this!
ОтветитьAbsolutely lovely! So beautiful! Cant help myself - Im sittning smiling and geting happy!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьWow Nigel, you've really gone to the next level with this. Thank you so much for bringing it to us. You're an absolute treasure.
ОтветитьNigel, would you like to live on this island?
ОтветитьI thought I was the only one that gets back pains from the gear lol.
ОтветитьThis is wonderful. Thank you Nigel. You know that you seem to spend the whole day bending forwards. This could possibly make your back sore. Have you got a taller tripod?
ОтветитьStunning. Thank you!
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing!! The video is a work of art itself!! Please consider putting the information from each shot in the book (aperture, shutter speed, etc).
ОтветитьExcellent project, representing the kind of slow travel many of us are trying to encourage here in the Highlands and Islands. Also, a great documentary to share with us. Having the luxury of living here I do feel for those who have to compress their visit into just a few short days. Of course, not everyone can afford a month, but perhaps there's a middle ground of coming for a week or so, and just concentrating on one or two spots and really getting to know them, rather than rushing from location to location, as you say in the video. The longer you stay, the more you tune in though, without doubt. My area on the east coast of Sutherland in particular does not reveal itself readily, but demands a "slow dance" and the time to explore. Much of it is on the "return leg" of the NC500, where folks sprint down the A9 having "seen all there is to see" on the west and north coasts. They're missing so much!
ОтветитьGreat video and very motivating. Spending a certain amount of time in one place, adapting to the local conditions and getting the most out of it is an idea that I will certainly implement soon. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьTruly some of your best work to date. Very inspirational and compelling. I am awestruck. Thank you for sharing your passion and your emotions. Bravo!!
