Thanks for watching! Let me know what YOU think about living in Asheville NC 🌄
ОтветитьI appreciate #1. I don’t do well with bigots
ОтветитьYour comments are so liberal woke and choke Democrats have as always ruined states
ОтветитьLol im driving my suv with a bumper sticker that says its a hybrid it burns oil and gas. I bet it'll trigger a few 😂
Ответить> "What it's like to work in Asheville!"
You can't, if you want to afford rent.
I’ve lived 44 years and it’s gone from nearly total inbred redneck to San Francisco East. All of the “progressive” things end at downtown.
ОтветитьI have heard Asheville being referred to the "blueberry" in the bowl of tomato soup.
ОтветитьThese bubbles are so welcomed to super conservative places.
ОтветитьI would have met how terrible traffic is and how drivers are dangerous and rude.
ОтветитьSoooooo....."inclusive" to everyone but conservatives! Not very welcoming.
ОтветитьI love Asheville, but during covid the hippies turned into mask NAZIs. When did hippies start trusting the government and hating free speech?
Ответитьi love about a hour from ashville i wanna move here when im old enough to move out!!
ОтветитьSad to know that you are embracing what God condemns! … it is very evident in your presentation that you love this town, and how it embraces the sinful nature of man!
ОтветитьEveryone is all about diversity, everyone welcome until you show up wearing a Trump T shirt and MAGA hat!!! lol
ОтветитьI really appreciate your perspective on Asheville. Contemplating a move to the area. I love the area, and the motorcycle riding is top notch. I just need to figure out where I belong. Younger retiree, single, like the outdoors, and good food that Asheville has to offer. Help me escape the DC metro area!
ОтветитьNo big businesses want to come near Asheville because of all the flaky people that don't want to work hard manual labor jobs. They want to work in restaurants and expect everybody to tip them really good.
ОтветитьPortland 2.0. No thank you. I will be turning down my job offer in Asheville. Where there is crime and needles, liberals are not too far away.
ОтветитьAll the reasons you give to not move to Ashville are all the same that FL has only FL has about 5 more reasons more why no one should move to FL . I have been here 39 years and it's time to move out of this state ,it's got so bad , Ashville sounds great compared to FL . Is there anyone in Ashville that want to trade homes ??
ОтветитьOne thing to bring with you, if you're not retired or independently wealthy: a good-paying job, because they are in short supply in Asheville.
ОтветитьI appreciate the positivity here, but allot of this is kinda dancing around things. You’re a real estate agent, so I know you’re earning business. I grew up in the mountains and been all around the south and I have never lived somewhere with as much crime, rude people, and high costs of living than Asheville. The more people we get, the worse it becomes. It’s definitely true that the locals are as kind as they can be, but they’re overwhelmed. It’s a wonderful place to live, but we’re full. Our infrastructure can barely handle the amount of people here, and that’s a well-known fact even amongst our state government. I have been harassed, threatened, and nearly robbed several times in the city over the past few years. Not many people knew about the voluntary Niche survey. This is more for people who are reading the comments than a criticism for you. I really enjoy the channel!
ОтветитьI live in Greenville and love the Ashville scenery but many of the people piss me off..I got nasty looks and rude comments under their breath because of my pride in this country, I had American flag shirts and USA shirt and hat. . If i go I avoid people as much as possible
ОтветитьA “little” Austin, Texas — at least what Austin used to be!
ОтветитьBeen here a month so far. Beautiful architecture. Stuck up zombies. My God . The rudeness. Make a little small talk, and get comply ignored. .. And it's a god-damned cesspool. The homeless are violent and the cops don't do anything. Nada...happy???? Oh no .. these people are miserable... Especially the yoga people for some reason...... ... But it's beautiful
ОтветитьAlright seems like a decent place to visit, but not live.
ОтветитьAsheville is definitely a dumpster fire. The homeless problem is out of control and the mountains are forever ruined because of clear cutting and crazy redevelopment. What is worse is all these people could give a shit about the Cherokee and the land taken away from them.
ОтветитьASHEVILLE NC
THE CESSPOOL OF SIN
DONT YOU JUST LOVE IT !! ❤️😅♥️😂❤️👹♥️👺
Also, don't move here if you are a blue collar worker, musician, or artist, because you very likely won't even make a living wage. Lawyers, doctors, dentists, and realtors fit in just fine.
ОтветитьThank you for the video. I won't be moving to Asheville because it is so progressive. Liberals are like locusts and they destroy every place they go. I will look for a more rural part of North Carolina or in Tennessee.
ОтветитьFrom the comments it seems that the US has turned worse since I left in 2006. Kinda glad I'm in Europe.
ОтветитьJust had to say that I know you probably didn’t mean it the way it came off, but when you said “people with purple hair, people with dread locks, freaks of all kinds” that wasn’t cool fam. People with dreads are not categorized as freaks, it’s a wonderful, protective, and for some a spiritual way to wear your hair for black people. I think you meant white people with dreads, but when you think of dreads pls don’t think of white people.
ОтветитьThank you for the video: general issues like crime and cost are extremely vague and not relative at all
A "feel" for an area is infinitely more valuable, which this video does. Thanks, I will look you up if our ATL vs Charlotte vs Research Triangle expands to Asheville (my personal choice, but what do I know, I'm just the guy paying for everything 🤷🏽)
Move to Asheville in order to avoid grumpy old men, what an idea. I have been watching your videos but had to comment on this one. So many places are hostile and run by old men who control everything. That is one of the first things I look for.
ОтветитьAnother beautiful place being ruined by "progresives". It's unfortunate.
ОтветитьLike everywhere there are pros and cons. Some cons I'd add are unlike certain states there is no Medicaid for able-bodied adults without dependents (except for some "family planning" stuff). And minimum wage is only around $7, though some employers pay a fair living wage for the area which is I think $17 or $20 an hour.
ОтветитьYou forgot to list avoid Asheville if you like having running water during the winter.
Ответитьthats why u have the most pandhandlers
ОтветитьThat’s to bad I won’t move there now
ОтветитьLove your comments and observations, I am often told I should work for the Chamber because I am so positive about the city and know it inside and out as you said. I've been here since '94 and sure, some things have changed for the worse, but overall I wouldn't live anywhere else
Ответить“Liberal” means “gross and dangerous”
ОтветитьI spent 3 nights there last month. The town itself was nice, however the homelessness was so bad I could not get use to it. I saw people laying on the sidewalks passed out right in the heart of the town. One woman who was passed out had her shirt pulled up to her neck and was exposing herself to everyone walking by. Very disgusting and a lot of people walking down there witnessing it getting upset. One area had a strong odor of sewer as the bums on the streets don't have access to toilets. There seemed to be a bum with a sign at every stop light. It is not a place to bring children. I saw men dressed up as women throughout the city. Not a place I could live. Progressive politics comes with a price. If you do move there find someplace a few miles out of the city and don't take kids downtown. Move to Prescott Arizona instead if you want a nice clean city.
ОтветитьI’m from Portsmouth Ohio, the cesspool of Appalachia, so sounds safe to me😂
ОтветитьMy husband and I are thinking of moving somewhere in the next few years as I finish my degree in social work with a bent toward counseling.
But I have chronic pain, light sensitivity, and a sun allergy. So a lot of places that are best for people like me, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Florida, California, aren’t really options.
We’re going to visit Asheville around spring break and see how my body deals with the barometric pressure and humidity combo, which I think will be even more important for me than the amount/strength of sun exposure.
I’d love Asheville to work because we’re from TN and have family here AND my brother is near Charlotte. We’ll find out! 😁
Sounds like Austin Tx
ОтветитьSorry to hear that it's a leftist enclave.
ОтветитьIt is true that people over there do not use deodorant?
ОтветитьI'm from Portland and lasted only 4 months living in Asheville. Some of these facts are true, but also watch out for scammers and just jerks in general. Merrimon Avenue is a nightmare and had my first car crash EVER on that AWFUL road. There were also homeless people living in my apartment building's basement -- the landlord knew about this, but didn't do much to fix the problem (and didn't mention this before I moved in). I had high hopes and a cool job, but I ended up hating it there and moved out.
ОтветитьIt’s a beautiful city. I loved living there for several years in the late 90s-early 2000. Unfortunately I was one of so many people who get stuck in one of the many low paid service industry jobs. Nowadays NC does have other very liberal cities like Chapel Hill for example. The rural areas of the state are quite conservative. I wish that Asheville city government would put more effort into attracting higher paying jobs to the area. The city has a lot going for it however if you’re not in a select group of occupations you won’t be able to afford rent or a mortgage. A lot of scenic beauty, nice culture, not quite as hot and humid as the rest of the state.
ОтветитьNot true. Not everyone is welcome in Asheville. If you don't fit the progressives' agenda, you are susceptible to being harassed, physically assaulted, bullied. A trend found everywhere in the U.S., but certainly far more intense in Asheville aka New York City, California.
ОтветитьSounds likes all the downsides of Portland, except for the happy, friendly people. Portland DOES NOT have those!
