I'm happy to see how generous people are for strangers but what I don't like is when children press for something that is beyond their parents capabilities.
For me it is better for parents to make their children understand that some things are just beyond their means. If they can afford it, they'll buy it and children shouldn't make their parents feel bad about not having the means to buy them things, especially not in public.

Im sorry but i dont really have any sympathy for people who cant afford their kids. Nobody pays my bills for me.... and i sure as hell dont compound my money problems by taking on MORE financial burden....... dont have kids if u arent financially stable and have savings to bail u out when shit gets tough. Not about to start supporting someone else..... sorry but nobody pays MY bills except me..... if i can do that so can everyone else.

Damn. This got my feels. I grew up poor and I remember mom feeling like this or having to tell us no because of money. I’ve received and done pay it towards many times. I’m grateful to be able to help when I can.

My favorite was a guy buying groceries, was only like $50 and his card was declined. I just paid it and told him pay it forward.
