Yet one type you say you can’t pick it as it’s illegal. So many different wild mushrooms growing there, one is illegal. How would anyone know? It’s a good job you learned how to identify the illegal ones before filming. And I must say I think you’re doing a wonderful job, teaching others how to identify the little pointy-topped mushrooms, hiding in the long grass waiting to criminalize some unsuspecting rambler. I don’t know how a little native wild fungi became illegal, maybe it’s rare, like some orchids. How low we have sunk to allow other people to tell us what plants or mushrooms we can't touch. Really think about it. The first time I tried magic mushrooms the veil was lifted and it made Earth without access to psychedelics a prison. To be denied the experience of choice is a sin of the highest order.

The cow dung is more important than you think fungi thrives off it then the mycelium white blanket which is fungi it thrives giving more patches of shrooms ,not so much with sheep dung but most dung helps fertilize soil but I watched programme of how fungi spores flew straight onto cow dung ,all mushrooms are from fungi family, liberty also likes bark and saw dust this too is probably more for the mycelium.

The top isn't always pointy but actually like a human nipple. They say when you've found some and scoffed them the whole field comes alive with them, well yes but this isn't anything magical, it's because they will all be the same colour - from a dark olive colour to a beige colour depending on how wet they are, they should all be about the same shade if they're in the same grass and place.
But I'm no expert, been picking them for years then last year I got a bit sick because I had some I wasn't sure about and thought what's the worst that can happen? : )
One good tip is you find the heads are covered in a thin transparent filmy layer that you find when you peel the head from the gills. And yes they should always have that skirt of dark colour at the bottom of the head. Stems always wonky - no straight stems, ever!

Illegal to pick mushies now? We were approached mid 90s by 2 policeman whilst picking, their parting words "see you later lads" and they did, they had a laugh with us to be fair, just advised us not to keep in paper as could be seen as drying them out which (i think they said) would make them class A ?

Psilocybin has always been one of my favorite drugs. I been doing a lot of RC psychedelics like MET, 4-ho-Dpt, 4-ho-det etc… I’m really missing the effects of a good psilocybin trip. I have only tried psilocybe cubensis and penis envy mushrooms. I really badly want to try some liberty caps and apparently some grow nearby where I live (I’m in Europe). My partner said liberty caps will soon be in season so we’re planning on maybe foraging for some. Our friend loves to grow various plants, we have poppies but we don’t really use them for any recreational purposes. My partner says maybe he can help us forage for some liberty caps and I’m excited. 😊

Look at the stem in the first few mins you say that it’s looks alike but a stem on a liberty cap should be much darker and if you break it will bruise almost a purple in colour just a good tip for those looking

When we were young men back in the city, mushroom picking was the only time anyone would ever dream of getting out of bed before 6am.

I've been doing magic mushrooms since I was 12 years old (53 now) and once you know what to look for liberty caps are quite easy to spot.

Psilocybin can help with depression and some mental illnesses (not paranoia) but I do not believe LSD has the same beneficial effects, quite the opposite actually, just my opinion,
