Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
ОтветитьYou always hit the brake before that hill that's why he needed fuel and tires as the track was cooling down way too much allowing lift off. He's lucky to be alive even in the movie. He did get out injury free in real life but he was very lucky. Most people don't get that lucky.
Ответить“While the crash did happen pretty much as depicted, Hall and Baylin’s screenplay time-shifts it in order to stage it as a defining, motivating setback on Mardenborough’s hero’s journey to his Le Mans podium. The actual accident happened years later—arguably a tasteless reframing of a fatal event.”
“In the movie, Mardenborough is involved in a crash at Nurburgring, which has fatal consequences for a spectator,” O’Sullivan wrote. “Due to race at Le Mans 24 Hours, Jann is naturally guilt-ridden, which, in turn, leads to rousing pep talks from Jack and Danny. The ending couldn’t be more upbeat (the big tragedy is followed by the hugest of wins). In reality, though, the lead-up to Mardenborough’s Le Mans triumph was smooth and the horrific accident came two years later. Suggesting the incident helped propel Jann to greatness is not only false, it’s reprehensible.”
This movie is a pile of trash, just like all of Jason Dean Hall's scripts. Why TF Neill Blomkamp decided to direct this garbage is beyond my understanding.
Terrible movie that recounted events in fantasy, not reality. The real story is easily found online. The movie is a load of BS.
Ответитьit used to be some sort of badge of honor to get the front airbourne over the flugplazt, go check out other races before this happened, porsche 911 gt3's, audi's, bmw's all used to get the front air bourne, it was just a matter of time before some thing went big. unfortunatly it went big for jan, and killed a spectator in the process.
the nurburgring reprofiled the flugplazt and the bridge section just before the "jump" after this incident.
looks like I have found a movie to watch
ОтветитьThey don't call Nürbürgring "The Green Hell" for no reason. Even legendary racers alike have been injured or even killed while trying to push the limits at this famed race course.
Ответитьi remember watching this race and this accident live on tv, i was 14 when it happened, i was always moved by Jann and how he came up to be a racer. i will never forget this race.
ОтветитьThe nurburgring sorry if I spelt it wrong can be a terrible track
ОтветитьM A R K W E B B E R I N T E N S I F I E S
ОтветитьThe cries of his mother are absolutely gut wrenching. Props to the actress, that is the sound of true terror.
Ответить10, excellent movie, just watched it on Netflix. Good for Nissan for coming up with this idea!!
ОтветитьA much much better move than I expected. Everything in the movie is true too (though they played with the timelines of events for dramatic effect). Worth a watch.
ОтветитьDid he push the pedal too hard when he crashed the car or something
ОтветитьSuch an intense scene. You can really feel the pain with the parents thinking they just watched their kid die on live TV. Just intense
Ответитьeven if i drive in a sim it’s still scary to drive in the nurburgring knowing this can happen.
ОтветитьLol after 5 laps a spread of like 0.5secs haha so far from reality.
ОтветитьWhat really makes this scene sink in on a deeply personal level is the parents watching him race. I'm not a parent, but just thinking about how my parents would feel in that instant if I were the one in that car is traumatizing. Just listening to the mom's heart just drop and the dad realizing it was his son's car after he had been disapproving of his son's choice before this. As a Dad, he must have felt horrible knowing that those could have been the last moments he had with his kid. Luckily he ended up being okay, but overall this scene in the movie was definitely a tear jerker
ОтветитьOuch
Ответитьone of the best racing movies ever made.
ОтветитьYou have total confidence in the car and then it all makes no sense as you fly through the air like that. Who knows what goes through the mind in those seconds.
ОтветитьI love this track. Fun and challenging in any game that has it, but that one area is wickedly dangerous, especially in the more realistic sims. Taking that area in one piece is a challenge no matter if it's IRL or in a game.
ОтветитьWatched this scene for the first time just before and went ‘those spectators must have been shitting themselves’. Come to find out one died I shut my mouth
ОтветитьRacing can send you in a lot of ways, just make sure you take that one way safely to avoid ending yourself this likely.
And i didn't watched the movie, but im sure it
roams of emotion...
in reality the car would just land on the top upside down becuase that is not how gravity works
ОтветитьThhe exact same thing happens to me when i am using the mazda 787b on this straight
ОтветитьI call that jump “The death jump” bro
ОтветитьXD shit
ОтветитьThis is a crock, yes real world he did this a few years back but it wasn't during the academy, but his real racing carrier. also killed a spectator there during qualifying.
ОтветитьThis was definitely the best movie
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me which racing series had Ford GTs and Nissan GTRs?
ОтветитьI have this on Blu-Ray. They used real GT3 and LMP2 cars for the movie. They are also going race pace. So when you see 270km/h on the dash, they were actually going that fast.
Ответитьca puta de estouro
ОтветитьCONTEXT: This incident happened in Flugplatz, Nürburgring (Real life and the movie.)
A Nissan GT-R Nismo driven by racer Jann Mardenborough took flight at a Nürburgring race. The car was likely low on fuel which made it lighter, as well as the wind conditions. The wind had blown the car downwards, causing the car to lift up. The car would've landed on its roof if it weren't for the barriers. The car smashed into the barrier, which caused it to go flying into the crowd.
In the movie, they showed Jann being injured and airlifted to help.
In real life, the car flew into the crowd and killed a spectator. Jann knew this either because he had seen the dead spectator, or someone told him about it. Luckily Jann survived in real life, thanks to the roll cages in the car.
Gtr r35😢
ОтветитьDie beste Szene im ganzen Film. Die ist einfach so gut nachgestellt
Ответитьi saw that movie yestoday
Ответить10
ОтветитьI just peanut buttered my pants.
ОтветитьWhen I saw this scene in the theater my heart sank when the dad said "Was that his car?".
ОтветитьThis actually happened about three years after the Lemans finish shown in the movie.
ОтветитьMan watching this is crazy. I was involved in an accident on the highway that sent my vehicle end over end very similarly. (I was speeding but obviously no where near the velocity these cars are traveling at. I can say that this scene legit triggered me to exactly the moment when my car begin rolling end over end. I was traveling approximately 90+ MPH. I mean the POV shown here from the driver’s cabin is almost exactly what I experienced and SAW when I was in my rollover accident. My vehicle flipped 3 times and unlike the professionals I was not strapped in. The crash was over JUST as quick as it was here. It’s almost incomprehensible how much FORCE is in an Accident like that and also how quickly everything just goes still. I was launched into the backseat during the accident which doctors said probably saved my life as the front portion of my room was caved WELL down below the steering wheel. I’m really impressed with the realism from Cabin POV. Incredible
ОтветитьThis movie was just so good
Ответитьin real live hes alive
Ответитьin the movie, i was actually crying.
ОтветитьI’ve watched this whole movie before it was very good
