Wow I've never seen halibut taken from shore before, but probably a Alaska only thing. Washington here and have fished it's shores coastal and in around Puget sound waters from the Straight to Gig harbor never seen halibut from shore, way too awesome. Another great video keep up the great video's.
ОтветитьThey didn't take the cheeks out, easy to do for a nice chunk of meat.
ОтветитьAwesome channel. I hope to get big like you someday. We’re down in southeast Alaska. If you ever want to collaborate on a video. A fish off, hit me up. Maybe get Captain Zac in Juneau involved too.

ОтветитьWhat? No way!!
Ответить125 internal temp for the fish….. great catch
ОтветитьWhat's happened to practicing Catch and Release? Enjoy the fish kill while you can. It won't last forever.
ОтветитьYou Americans cannot cook thats for shore.......................................
ОтветитьI’m getting Chinese commercials 😂😂😂😂 I don’t speak Chinese
Ответитьnice content, should cook fish to about 145f for parasites, especially since you're catching bottom feeders.
Ответитьwhat town are you guys at? I live in Seward and would love to try that here.
ОтветитьWow thats awesome! never saw halibut from the shore. I;ve surf fished a long time, and was about to give you some distance casting/ rigging advice, but obviously you're hitting the zone...thank You!😁
ОтветитьThe cooking techniques you are using are spot on. Never cook halibut steaks, as they always turn out dry do to the flesh direction. Perfect cook! Thanks.
ОтветитьIf someone says to me I almost caUGHT A 36 POUNDER, when it was 35.94. Bruh. Its 36 pounds.
ОтветитьYour dressed like it's cold in the summer?
Wooooohhhh halibut tacos
Taps and Tackle? You guys know the owner?!?! He's a local!
ОтветитьMy uncle took my twin brother and me drift fishing with his inboard/outboard motorized water skiing boat. We were in Ensenada and we must have caught 5 or 6 “barn door halibut” just like this. Huge!
ОтветитьYesss love da Korean braddah eating it with lettuce
ОтветитьGreat video who makes that jacket?
ОтветитьBrits would kick your a@#£ for taking fish out of the sea with a stick 😂. I like Americans, you guys really living an natural life, not like Europeans , you can’t touch fish you can’t eat it , catch and release.
Ответитьcatch and release stop the murder
ОтветитьKudos to ALL you guys and gals doing this - never seen or even knew halibut could be caught from shore. These fish are major scores. Cheers!
ОтветитьTeach That girl how to set a hook😂
ОтветитьNever ever use garlic on a halibut.. just salt, pepper, slices of lemon - then you get the pure halibut taste… other spices just ruins a good fish.
ОтветитьNice Video dude love watching hailbud Videos..but your mumbling with the gum man xD
ОтветитьYum halibut
Ответитьbad way of fishing just smashing them is barbaric
Ответитьthis what happens to nature where are no people.
ОтветитьMake a video with flair please 😢
ОтветитьMy wife and I were talking about where to go to retire but I think that I want to hang out with you guys in Alaska, even though we prefer to be in the warm beaches in the southern part of the US.
ОтветитьDon't forget the cheeks.
ОтветитьTake better care of the fish.
Bleed, gut and ice! There's no reason to put them in the cooler covered in dirt.
Someone needs to work on the gaffing skills lol
ОтветитьWhat is the calendar window to catch them from the beach?
ОтветитьI just moved to Anchorage and would like to get into surf fishing here. Where are some places that I can fish near the area?
ОтветитьI sure did enjoy your video, thanks for posting.
ОтветитьThat's crazy. I've dock fished for halibut but never shore fished for it. I don't think I've ever even seen anyone do it. And those are nice fish. I guessed 40 for the first one and it came up at 36. You fillet them the same as I do. I think most west coasters do it that way.
