FXAA?
ОтветитьI'm playing at 1.3 resolution and SMAA looks better, specially when in movement.
I've changed to 1.5 resolution and Textures like the sand or fine details like the grass look better without anti-aliasing but the black lines around characters look terrible without it so I'm keeping smaa.
Pro Tip:
If your PC powerful enough you can turn off anti-aliasing and set render scale to 1.5x
it's called MSAA Anti-aliasing, with this setting you can see the grass is detail while minimalize the jagged edge
the cost is high-resource usage
Running this with GTX 1060 smoothly even more with FSR2 thank you AMD.
ОтветитьFSR 1.0 + FXAA would look much better than this.
ОтветитьFSR2 looks nice but you'll see ghosting when moving / moving the camera. But for potato pc, FSR is godsend for us.
I had a mid gaming asus TUF laptop (only rx560x) and I can run this game 50-60fps consistently, even on Sumeru places like the tomb in the desert.
My settings are:
Before you open Genshin, go to AMD settings and set the image sharpening to 50%.
Set to medium. then turn off Reflection, and set detail to High.
Rendering Resolution is 0.6 for 99% 60fps, otherwise 0.8 is the most balance one.
waiting for dlss 3 in genshin
ОтветитьAfter the 4.0 there was a drop in quality for my characters. Their costumes look pointy and "not so renderized".
Even though the whole scenery looks great as ever, only my characters experience that drop in details.
Who care about jagged edge blah blah blah !! As long as i ejoys THE GAMES ❤
ОтветитьFRS is clearly better for still images but has Ghosting problems.
They need to update FSR to version 2.2 to solve the ghosting
for my potato laptop FSR2 looks better and runs better
Ответитьmake one with anisotropc filter!
ОтветитьHere is my opinion. Depending on GPU...
0.6 + FSR2 for the weakest GPU's.
1.0 + No for my personal preference, GT220/GT640 habits.
1.5 + SMAA if you have performance to spare.
Personally, I don't trust the power supply in the prebuilt case I've got, 1.5 + SMAA is freaking amazing and almost makes my 1080p "gaming monitor" feel like 4K clarity, but there is something not right with the fan profile and I'm not experienced/knowledgeable enough to be able to fix it yet. So 1.0 is as far as I dare to push my system even if that means I don't even go to 40% GPU usage. Really need to figure out how to disable hyper-threading on a AMD Ryzen 3, I don't trust virtual cores, 90% sure that is where the performance issues come from.
So what's better? amd thing or smaa? I just don't see a difference.
Ответитьwith comparison videos I still cant figure out fsr or smaa looks better😅😂
ОтветитьComo lo activas en el juego de genshin?
ОтветитьIf you go for above 1.0 scaling SMAA starts looks better and smoother. FSR2 only looks good on 1.0 and lower scalings, lower scalings lack sharpness and FSR2 makes the picture sharper but once picture is already sharp from being in above 1.0 scaling adding sharpness makes it look jagged, while SMAA makes it look smooth on top of already having a sharp picture quality.
ОтветитьКак бы если что в игре рендеринг до 1.5 можно ставить и разница очень сильно видна, скажу что все беды фср 2 с рендерингом в 1.5 хуже всего заметны, особенно хостинг
ОтветитьWonderfully highlighted the difference among the two. Nice video.
ОтветитьIMO, if your going for FSR, better use 0.8 render resolution since 1.0 and above most likely will peg your FPS, especially if you have using low-mid range hardware.
ОтветитьLet me remember what i got smaa or fsr? If i got smaa i should change it to fsr!
Ответитьdoes the genshit community really not know what the fk fsr is? wow standards are low here.
Hint, the tech is upscaling, rendering lower res and making things look better. smaa or fxaa is just smoothing out the edges.
These are two very different technologies but somehow are being compared?
Is FSR 2.0 more taxing on your pc compared to SMAA?
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I'm going to try it out for some time and see how it affects my gameplay fps
Ответитьits not as easy as i thought to compare it with just a screen shot, thanks for making it very clear this comparison between SMAA and fsr2, its really good. This software from AMD can be used for all types of GPUs, both Intel and Nvidia, and this makes my gaming experience even better because the sharpness and detail provided by FSR2 is very clear!!
ОтветитьI mostly recommend smaa anti aliasing because with fsr 2.0 it lags for some reason.
ОтветитьI showed it to my friend, and my friend immediately installed this game again 😂, and tells me even with 0.6 render scale , the screen looks awesome
ОтветитьThis is more better than fxaa, even smaa too, i love fsr 2... Overall its makes the edge so smooth
Ответитьfor best quality in highest spec GPU, FSR2 or SMAA?
ОтветитьEverything is still pixelated in ur video, no? With any method. Thats my problem. And it feels like other people has their game crisp and clean...
ОтветитьHello I hope you notice this which is better on 1.5 render is it SMAA or FSR2? Btw thank you for creating this vid since anti alisiang give an impact to the game visual
ОтветитьFSR 2.0 flickers and leaves artifacts when moving(not even fast movements, just turning slowly from side to side), at least the implementation in Genshin is not as good as other games I saw. By the time you can render at native resolution (render x1.0) you'll need SMAA to smooth those edges. Aliasing is still present even at x1.5 render 1080p without any form of AA, and FSR is not enough.
Honestly you are better off with sacrificing a bit of performance and enable SMAA even at render x0,6, when actually playing artifacts and flickers will distract you, especially in heavy fight focused content.
FSR 2.0 is a great upscaling technique but it was intended to be used alongside an antialiasing and not replace it, as most of the other games instead do. Not to mention the intended target resolution is 4K, which depending on the preset(again absent here), start upscaling from near 1440p resolution, with mostly unnoticeable artifacts and near to no flickering. By the time you go below the FSR render resolution of 1080p, flickers and artifacts become very noticeable and depending on the game rather unpleasant and distracting.
I use 1.5 render scale, and fsr looks like 4k on my 1080p monitor , i dont know why smaa looks worse on my device T_T
ОтветитьI honestly switch it off and crank the resolution up to 1.5
It still means that characters in the character menu look a little jagged but at least I don't have to look at artifacts everywhere. Smaa is good, fsr is a little better but they both look hideous in motion. Fsr is worse in that regard.
Bad comparison. In dynamics, FSR performs very poorly.
ОтветитьThanks bro, it saves my time to compare between fsr vs smaa in render scale 1.0, i think fsr looks smooth but i need to compare like this, not just taking screenshot, and the results fsr looks better
Ответитьwhere's people who said it worse? i see in this video fsr looks good!, any comment here???
ОтветитьRip gaming pc who just getting worse at AA if they use FSR2 XD
ОтветитьI will download this game again, it is very good. my laptop usually play this game with worse display, because it used 0.6/0.8 render scale to get 50-60 fps, now...i only see this game getting better
ОтветитьFSR 2 0.8 vs SMAA 1.0 looks the same, but in FSR 2, I got more FPS at 0.8 fsr, event at highest settings
ОтветитьWell.. many people say fsr worse than smaa couse it cant be better in fast motion, but i dont care about what i cant see in my eyes, what i can see clearly is fsr 2 more better than smaa
Ответитьnext video try compare it with fast motion, but in my opinion, fsr looks better when there is no fast motion such as running, fighting, etc. but.... in distant object such as the enviroment, grass, and trees the fsr looks so better than smaa, and makes me enjoy the world while exploring this game
ОтветитьI don't understand anything about AA at all, but with my own eyes, at rendering scale of 1.0 smaa vs fsr2, I see fsr 2 looks smoother than SMAA,
ОтветитьFSR 2 looks quite good in still pictures, but it's also important to test FSR 2 in motion, which most tech reviewers say is where FSR 2 is weakest.
Fast motion seems to be where FSR 2 can struggle a bit. I did some tests, and there can be a bit of ghosting during fast animations, particularly around capes. It's a bit difficult to spot, but between SMAA and FSR 2, I do think SMAA holds up better in fast motion.
the fsr good for laptop user / low end pc, fsr is upscale resolution that's keep the display looks cleary without lossing big FPS. And i usally use Render scale 0.8 with highest setting at 1080p, and its looks like render scale 1.0!!! this is saving my wattage and also lowering GPU heat
Ответитьi can see the fsr looks so smooth while exploring this game, event the resolution 1080p with Render scale 1.0. but also this settings lowering my fps by 1-5 fps, depending on many effect that place have
Ответитьnow i can reduce the heat while my laptop is not at home, i usally play this game at render scale 0.8 and sometime 0.6 for power saving, and the graphics looks good event use lower render scale with FSR 2
ОтветитьI'm currently using a laptop with mx450 2gb~gtx950 2gb. I dont say fsr 2.0 is bad but with 1.0 scale fsr work worse than smaa 1.0 . Fps, 1% fps are lower even though the hardware don't work at max .Good point is lower scale to 0.8 i can compare it the same as 1.0 smaa , can put higher graphics settings while maintaining fps and the machine works lighter and less heat.
