It seems to me that his problems stem from not being able to get his special ‘medication’ anymore….or….he’s feigning silence to keep the Hollywood goons from hanging him with a red tie from a doorknob….such a wonderful persona created for a monster in private….this is a compromised man….has done some pretty awful things for fame…..not deserving of empathy.

i remember when willis refused to do another expendables movie (we now know due to his failing condition) & stallone called him out publicly as "selfish" because willis said he wanted more money for the role. whether that was the actual reason, to fund his care, to leave to his widow & kids, or just not ready to disclose his rela reasons, etc..we dont know, but even if it wasnt about getting sick, stallone had some nerve calling him out about what willis wanted to do with his time. stallone was the selfish one expecting willis to do a movie just because HE, stallone, wanted him to, for more box office appeal. a supposed friend. i lost respect for stallone after that.
money vs friendship. in hollywood, money wins every time.

There was so much wrong with this interview and how it portrays Aphasia. First, Bruce Willis suffers from Primary Progressive Aphasia. It is a degenerative condition that gets worse and leads to dementia.

The Aphasia that is caused by stokes and brain injuries is completely different. You can improve your communication skills over time. This form of Aphasia is a language disorder and doesn't affect the intelligence of the person. Even though communication can improve, it can't be cured and your brain works differently than it did before. This is what Gabby Giffords and probably John Fetterman have.

For the newscasters to joke that they have trouble talking is highly insulting. My life has changed since my stroke and I have to deal with having to think differently to be able to communicate. I "hear" myself thinking and communicating takes on almost a visual aspect. I have had to learn how to speak in noisy environments that can become overwhelming. I had to learn to read again. I have to do mental exercises to learn how to remember numbers. It's a sucky situation and to have newscasters trivialize it is insulting.

Not only it has to do with my communication skills, but also it's difficult for me to express my emotions. It's so excruciating when you have to deal with your own. Not being able to share it to others, not being to share what you've been going through. It's so f*cking debilitating. I'm still 17 years old, and this is what resulted to my introversion

Me and my friend Maria’s school bus driver Tim has aphasia. We had to take control of the bus when he got air lifted. My friend Caroline watched us. When we got to the school. Me and Maria. Ran to the central office and we said our bus driver is sick call the ambulance. Someone in central office called 911. It took 30 minutes for the ambulance to get there. When the ambulance came it was paramedic Bart and paramedic Joseph. Bart and Joseph got the stretcher and got him off the bus. They loaded him into the ambulance. When they got to the hospital I was born in. He had to be air lifted. They flew him over to UAB. His bus was still there. I couldn’t ride his bus until January. Mike had to do his job. On Halloween we wished he were here. On thanksgiving we wished he were here. On Christmas we wished he were here. On New Year’s Day he returned home and was well. On January 5th we were back riding his bus to school again. He fully recovered from his stroke.

Starting to think there’s more to the rate of deterioration Bruce endured, especially after the rare disease Celine Dion was diagnosed with, a lot of people getting sick and dying right now From things you don’t see everyday.

These interviewers make light of it like it’s perhaps just temporary memory failure. It’s not. It destroys your confidence for social interaction. Sometimes you can’t read, speak, spell or understand what someone is saying, all at different times, and it can progress from a couple times a day, to numerous times every hour of every day, and it appears to destroy your memory capacity, as well as induce anxiety attacks, and that’s not even a particularly bad case of it I think.
