Hi you two! I am happy you put this video together! While I am not a fan of "paid promotions" this one is GREAT! My wife has been in the dental industry for 30 years or so and when we do move to Portugal next fall/winter when she retires we get into discussions on healthcare. It was nice to see the Malo Clinic! The "paid promotion" was informative AND applicable to us! Thanks also for showing us your Pizza Joint! We are pizza aficionados and it is ALWAYS treat when someone passes on their best pizza place! Keep the videos coming....we love them!

I am definitely a foodie, and one thing I have enjoyed since leaving corporate America is taking the time to cook a lot of foods from scratch. When I was a busy working mother, we relied on convenience foods a lot. But it's great to make bread from scratch, yogurt, really healthy and delicious meals of all sorts!

One thing you didn't mention for yourselves but we spent a lot of time on here in England is entertaining guests! If we aren't traveling ourselves, we are taking visitors around Britain and sharing this place we love! I agree with what Doug said... we also live on an island, and we could spend decades here and still not see all the things on it that we want to explore!🇬🇧

Another thing that we spend a lot of time on in our retirement is service. We have the time to be involved in community and nonprofit organisations that are important to us. In addition to serving in our local church congregation. It is a very rewarding activity that we can do now that we have more available time.

I'm thinking about visiting Madeira before deciding if I want to live there. Do you two know anything about how Veterans Benefits work overseas? I'm asking because I'm a service-connected disabled Veteran and the VA takes care of my medical and dental. I know I should just ask the VA, but thought I'd ask since it just came to mind while watching this video.

As “Foodies” try out Minerva in Camera do Lobos. The menu looks strange initially, but all the dishes we had were fantastic. Also Kampo “Classic Campo Menu” for 2 is great. Cheers L&P

Overall, you two are inspiring and are living a retirement that we are considering. I can’t decide if your latest videos are good information/advice/recommendations mixed in with a little sponsorship to make a few extra $ or complete sellouts because you either need the money to make ends meet or have decided that the channel is a business rather than information and life journey sharing. This was probably one of our more favorite videos that you've done - its really great to see what your average day in retirement looks like. My wife and I are both retired ... and have pretty much become busy with similar things you've mentioned. However, as we are trying to decide on the move to Portugal, we've wondered what the days might be like. Thank you for a glimpse of things.

Staying busy is what keeps you young and energetic. I believe that healthy body, mind, and soul are good food, proper exercise, and prayer that clears the soul. 😊

It's a pity you came too late. I went to Malo Clinic in Coimbra, only 300 meters away from home. I went there in June without any discount.😁. Life maintenance!!!! What a complicated name for my shaving 🤣. I really like your sailing. Myself, I spent more than 1 year of my life on different sailboats of the Rio de la Plata after learning to sail as a schoolboy in Teignmouth in the UK. 👋👋👋

We do not have time to be bored! I need to do my 10k steps every day, out with friends for lunch/ coffee etc; We are starting Padel at our local academy next month, visiting Lisbon, Sintra or Evora regularly - taking a trip to The Algarve when most of the summer tourists have gone home! We also enjoy the local music festivals - 'Blues weekend' this weekend, nearby. Busy!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on maintaining daily life on Madeira. When we share the possibilities of living on Madeira, a question I often hear is, "Won't you get bored being on an island?" This video shows that Madeira, in particular, has more than enough to keep you busy. Especially when you come from a daily living point of view as a opposed to a vacation frame of mind.
