I love how I don't have clay, I don't have a breyer horse, I've never tried resculpting, but I'm still here because I'm bored-

I'm new to customizing horses and this - like the coloring vids - helps a lot. One question though: wouldn't it safe a lot of work/time to make the tail shape out of PVC (from an old shampoo or dish soap bottle) instead of cardboard wrapped in glued tape?

What Gauge of Wire do you use? 12 Gauge?

I think apoxie clay works better for sculptures its smoother have you tried?

Thank you for this. I'm making a horse from scratch from air dry clay. You inspired me to buy some new tools and the silicone pointed tools are the best. Thank you for showing the best way to do feathered hooves!

Just as an idea to try, I like to use hot glue instead of the baking soda method. It works the same way and I find it is just as easy! :)

I must agree with not having too many small pieces. one of my first rescuplts was a classic Arabian and his tail looks like a lot of icicles 😂

I’d also recommend using hot glue in place of the blue scotch tape if you’d like a firmer base

Note to others - this super glue and baking soda mix can be very painful if you get it on your skin! Be careful it IS. Chemical bond
