The first automatic actually was the REO self shifter - no insult to Mr Oldsmobile since the REO car was Mr oldsmobile's invention REO stood for Ransom Eli Oldsmobile.
ОтветитьRichard B. Spike was the inventor of the automatic gear shift! He was beyond his time🫡
ОтветитьNow go back in time and show them a DCT and watch their head spin.
ОтветитьCool!
ОтветитьThis invention spread around America but not in Europe and Asia
Ответитьlembrando que foram dois brasileiros que criaram isso aí e venderam pra gm 😎😎🤙
ОтветитьIt's time to show the world the real story
Ответитьhydramataic gearbox have no creep idle is that right?
ОтветитьSimplicity in itself... starscream said this once.
ОтветитьFour speed, Dual coupling Hydra-matic.
ОтветитьWhy wasn’t I informed of this development? No more clutch…
Ответить"Nineteen distinct manual operations"?? I guess if you count breathing and picking your nose. I count at most eight to get to third gear with a manual transmission, "finally under way," as opposed to two with the glorious Hydra-Matic. Any car needed to be started and steered. Ridiculous commercial hype, so funny and wonderful.
Ответить"Direction Selector" Brilliant...
ОтветитьAutomatics are like electric cars, yes it's a fun gimmick but you lose the fun
ОтветитьThis stupid car with masterbating transmission is the decline of manuals
ОтветитьHere in Germany, we still drive normally
ОтветитьLazy drivers, no wonder GM is making more automatic than Manual.
Ответитьvery interesting
ОтветитьWhere did you find this?!? Great post. Do you know how many forward gears were in the hydramatic?
