Hell I was surprised by this and I called it earlier before the game awards while talking to my girlfriend about who would be the next fighter. I said it was gonna be Sephiroth then saw Twitter blowing up later on!

Can so tell some of these people are fake reacting or just know Sephiroth from other content. Any FF fan worth their salt will know that as his final form from the original FFVII aka Safer Sephiroth.

In terms of Mario, the franchise character for Nintendo, a MAJOR warning was sent here....Sephiroth. Is. WORSE. Than. Bowser! Unlike Bowser, who has a soul, Sephiroth has none. Seph, to Mario, is an EXTREME threat to his life. Seph doesn't take I.O.U.'s when it comes to getting his pound of flesh, and Mario, to him, is nothing. O.O

I like how a good chunk of the reactions I've watched (including this and others) people think Sephiroth cuts Midgar's stage when clearly they haven't played with items and hazards on.
