A classic example of a foreign pilot with limited English skills. They might grasp only half of the messages, if that.
When English isn't your first language, becoming fluent takes time. For a pilot, this can be extremely stressful, especially if they don't fly regularly or are in unfamiliar places. This is even more challenging for single-pilot aircraft with higher workloads.
If you're an ATC and suspect this issue (pilots rarely admit they don't understand, except for frequent 'repeat, please' and ‘say again’), speak slowly, clearly, and keep messages concise. Save the reprimand for when they're safely on the ground. Reducing stress and complexity can save lives."
This is PAINFUL to watch and listen to. 😳
ОтветитьThe problem here was that he wasn't completely insecure with his English. This is a big problem here in the US, many people have no idea, sometimes you politely and calmly ask them to stop speaking faster but the idiots continue speaking the same way or sometimes even increase the speed.
ОтветитьHow can they let him fly?
ОтветитьJust like in IVAO… 😂
ОтветитьHow can he be at 10000 altitude when he is coming in for landing? Then they let him come down to 4000. First controllers seemed wrong.
Ответитьhow about letting him land how can he call anyone when he is landing.
ОтветитьClick bate
Ответитьworst pilots...horrible english
ОтветитьThe pilot's voice sounds like he......DOESNT SPEAK ENGLISH good ENOUGH to pilot a private jet outside his own country.
ОтветитьI wouldn't want to talk on the radio either if my callsign was PSFBL, what a mouthful every time.
ОтветитьTitle is a little overblown. Pilots experienced difficulty and chose proper priority, aviate. Sounds like they switched PIC, fixed problem, and then continued on as normal.
ОтветитьIf the pilot was dealing with landing gear problems, WE ALL KNOW that the crew's priority is to manage the critical situation of the aircraft, not to answer the radio !!! Or is it that only I know that ???
ОтветитьWhy is the audio on these super-expensive jet planes so horrible ? 😅
Ответитьand thats why an ICAO level 4 is not enough... also pilot situation awareness was lacking
ОтветитьWhere's the chaos?
ОтветитьAs a Brazilian working with people from the US, I can understand the struggle of not knowing exactly what the natives are saying. But at least I wasn't flying a plane 😆.
ОтветитьAs a brazilian, I'm very sorry, we're not that stupid.
ОтветитьFor me life of me, I don't understand why it's FAA policy to task saturate pilots with copying down a phone number when they already have trouble with basic aircraft control and understanding ATC instructions! Get them on the ground and then deal with pilot deviation paperwork. You're just stressing them out further.
ОтветитьThe ATC should realize that all they have to do was speak slowly, but instead they went full Eminem on the guy
ОтветитьDEI t its best
ОтветитьProblema aí provavelmente foi fluência no idioma
ОтветитьSounded like dad had been doing some drinking during the flight up to Boston. The son jumped in to save dad from losing his licence
ОтветитьAffirmative Action works. Say hello to your captain. Feel safe yet?
ОтветитьMaybe the pilot stopped off in Columbia for some cough medicine.
ОтветитьTinha que ser brasileiro kakakaka
ОтветитьThis pilot should NOT be flying in this environment!! Sad. He is clearly over his head and a safety risk to everyone around him.
ОтветитьThe first pilot was obviously drunk.
I wonder if there's documentation of this.
ATC needs to be better than this. Pilot made mistakes, but ATC is not helping and KNOWING that the guy is having language issues, insists on giving number to call during last few crucial minutes of flight... this can wait
ОтветитьI'd hate to be near this guy if I was driving....
ОтветитьLanding gear disagreement = pilot finally fell asleep and copilot took over lol.
ОтветитьI work in a machine shop with guys like this. I'm surprised they have all their fingers.
Ответитьthe controller aged 5 years in those 10 mins
ОтветитьThat guy seemed pretty low energy for an airline pilot. I'm all for being unflappable, but being wide awake is also good.
ОтветитьI would just get the number from every atc controller preemptively..
"I have just entered your airspace and am a terrible pilot,I have a pen,do you have a phone number handy."?
Uhkaaay, wut is fon nomber? Wut is fon?
ОтветитьWhere do these people get their licences????
ОтветитьHow on earth is he flying a Phenom??
ОтветитьI can't imagine managing flight controls, checklists, tower communications, and whatever else they do, but these guys speak like auctioneers. I can't process the words even with subtitles, but I'm thoroughly impressed with the communication alone. Even more so atc.
ОтветитьAviate, navigate, communicate. If the aircraft was experiencing a mechanical issue of some sort (landing gear, possibly), it sounds like the pilots were aviating and navigating before worrying about the communication. Not ideal, but if that's what was going on, it sounds like they did what they could do at the moment.
ОтветитьBoston is very busy airspace. This could have gone badly sideways. Who allowed that aircraft to fly with only one pilot who understood English? A clear violation of international conventions. English is the language of international aviation. Brazil is a signatory to that agreement.
ОтветитьI'm not a pilot, but it didn't seem like she did anything to warrant the treatment she received.
ОтветитьKeep these low skilled pilots out of our airspace!
ОтветитьWhen I see pilots flying like this, the thing that boggles my mind is...there's TWO pilots in that cockpit, which means neither of them can figure it out. And I wish there was a camera so we can see what they're doing. And I definitely ain't buying the "landing gear disagreement" story.
ОтветитьI give those controllers the utmost respect.
ОтветитьRio to Boston's a bit far I guess? 🤷♂🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI wonder if the pilot could speak any quiter....
ОтветитьHe needs a more difficult call sign.
ОтветитьDoes this guy have a brain cell in his head? I'm surprised this "genius" landed without crashing. They didn't have their landing gear down the first time. They forgot!
ОтветитьEither the pilot has multiple personalities, or someone else was like “get fucked, my controls” after the first PIC flubbed the approach because the voices before and after the missed approach are completely different.
Ответить
