As someone who was part of the SDA from brith to 18 years old, until I left for college and it is all true. We go to church on Saturday and we believe in the second coming. But another thing that we had to do or at least my church did is we were no allow to use phones or tvs on Saturday. So once the sun comes up on Saturday that is when it started for us so you can not use your phone or watch tv. And once the sun goes down that is when the day ended. Another thing is that we were not allowed to buy anything on Saturday. We could not drink cows milk at all and no pork. And we read the writings of Ellen White who was a co-founder of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Having grown up in the SDA church, I have to mention that not everyone in the church is that restrictive (this is also speaking to the modern era, not the 70s/80s/90s). A lot of members are vegetarian or vegan (but not all), alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are pretty much unanimously rejected, but things like coffee, soda, snacks like chips and such are consumed by some members and is actually somewhat a topic of debate. On the very conservative end of the spectrum not only do they reject caffeine, but also jewelry, makeup, tattoos, a lot of modern music and secular media etc. but on the less strict side, all of that flies just fine. It's mostly just staying away from pork/seafood, alcohol, and drugs that everyone in the church agrees on. But yeah the second coming is preached HEAVY and scared me to death as a kid
