I heard of this series because I was looking for a game like State of Emergency (PS2), but this doesn't look anything like that. This looks tame by comparison.

the dev. suport of this game is literaly MINDBLOWING best zombie game of latest years just for that reason alone!!!!!

Truthfully, I didn't get around to playing the first dying light till a year ago, so it was still fresh in my mind when I started the 2nd one - and maybe that biased my mind. I don't know, the second game just didn't click for me like the first one did. I felt that this was not as polished as the first one.There were huge plot holes in the story, annoying glitches, missing subtle details (like the infected not staring at the setting sun like in the first one), a lack of environmental diversity, and I was disappointed in the lack of the grappling hook... I didn't hate the 2nd game, it was just a bit of a let down after really enjoying the first game.

Worth to buy 100% in my opinion

I know this is older now, but me and my friend recently wanted to play a zombie game but we didn’t want the typical call of duty zombies, multiplayer game. We wanted some thing open world something we could put tens of hours into and play in progress together. then we stumbled upon dying light. I knew what dying light was, but I didn’t know it was Fully multiplayer compatible and what I mean by that is the campaign is fully multiplayer except for the very last mission. I know the game is almost ancient by now, but I won’t spoil anything just in case anybody is playing dying light one for the first time anyways after about 60 hours of messing around exploring, and occasionally doing story missions, we beat the game. The parkour was phenomenal and honestly most of our game was just running around, beating the shit out of zombies, and that’s exactly what we wanted. Then we got dying light 2 we heard it was extremely buggy in the beginning so we decided to wait a year before buying it, we bought it about a week ago and have beaten the game ever sense long story short I highly recommend this game. If you even remotely like dying light, you will love dying light two the parkour is better the combats better the map is better. The exploring is better the story is better it’s pretty much better in. Every single way possible 10 out of 10 great zombie game I highly recommend it.

The game seems to get in it's on way. Poor mechanics and things like blocking being very difficult. I got bored very quick and I actually preferred the first game. 15 hours in and not bothered putting in anymore

As Re fan Dying light is the best thing to experience

The parcours mechanics and some combat moments and story "puzzles" are really cool. but it seems like a huge AA game, nowhere as good as the first dying light

I love this game and still playing till this day

I played the game on PS4 and it was really demanding and very glitchy, the game itself was ok, but it got very repetitive and the story was alright. When i saw the trailers I was very hyped on how it was going to turn out and I feel that some of the last minute changes to the game overall ruined it and I was very disappointed about how it turned out

For those who have played Dead Island 2, which would you recommend buying first: DI2 or DL2?

I haven't played this game but i have played the first one + the following DLC. The Following felt a bit like a drag to me personally and i feel like the first game hits an unique balance between it being super hard but also tons of fun to play with a lot of freedom. I'm still on the fence about buying this game cause it feels like it doesn't hit the same kind of dark immersiveness as the first game. Anyone wanna try to convince me to buy/not to buy this game?

Game is a huge let down, got it yesterday for a tenner, a year later the game is dead and no one cares, more people still play the first one it's hilarious.

This far off and still being a gamer with a budget I may pass. As I haven’t updated to the modern systems to fully appreciate something I may have high hopes for. I am playing through the original’s story again rn on my base PS4. Gotta say I love this game and truly am addicted to it, and just what from what I’ve seen here I don’t really feel like it would be the same at all, given the time period so far off from the Harran Crisis. As well as a separate character to play as. The formula has been changed, and for my dollar I am not open to it.

no guns really disappointed me with the game which is why I did not buy it yes melee is a lot more fun but I just like the option of pulling out a gun and there being consequences for that like making a lot of noise bringing more zombies to you this game could've been something a lot more cool

my only regret after buying this, is that i didnt return it within the 2 hour steam refund period. actually worst game iv played ever, and it should be my perfect taste. i loved the first, but they shouldnt have done this ti their fans. it gives me bad feelings for dead island 2 and i wont buy it, ill just pirate it. all because of this game

I was kinda hoping I'd still be kyle/crane in the 2nd one, but I guess aiden/ayaden is cool too. I just finished the story of dying light 1 started playing the following. Pretty awesome game, and I'm playing it on switch. For some reason I didn't buy it on pc or PS5, but it's still great.

Yea this game was dull and felt highly unorginal. The mc was just wack and felt basic. They removed guns due it making harder targets easy which i mean guns are supposed make its easier and even out the playing field. If done in one whole gameplay its at most 12 to 14 hours maybe less. Its just felt like more a cash grab than genuine new content

I'm a bit late to the party but I absolutely loved the first game is it still worth to get the second?

This game is far too serious in its movements, like Americans are with their flags outside their houses: a sign of complete insecurity.
