I recently picked up a 88' JDM RHD GVR4 and man this is underrated. Had my Brother-In-Law in town a couple weeks ago who owns a 2017 Focus RS and we decided to do a few highway pulls... AND man let me ya'll... THIS EVO ZERO held it's own!!! we did both 2nd and 3rd gear pulls and his RS barely walked away from my GVR4 on the top end of 4 gear going into 5th. SURPRISED us both. Oh yea, his RS was bone stock and my GVR4 had K&N drop in filter and full TBE, but still very impressive. I'm planning on a few other bolt-ons over the next year or so and tune with Haltech 1000 ECU. Can't wait!
Ответить4dr talon.. big rally evo
ОтветитьUh, The vr4 added the twin turbo engine too to the 3000gt, john.
Ответитьnow mitsubishi just makes boring soccer mom crossovers and cars that fall apart after a few years. They would do very well if they brought back the VR4 badge to give certain cars a more performance oriented status
ОтветитьStill to this day I'm driving a 89 vr4 galant... Number plate is B4AEVO lol
ОтветитьI remember a Galant maybe a 1991 that had fully active suspension, it was either hydraulic or air. Even when the engine was off, you could get out of the car and the suspension would adjust itself.
ОтветитьMitsubishi, the Chrysler of Japan
ОтветитьNever saw one of these on the road. Never knew they existed til this video.
ОтветитьI like that it has a ski hole
ОтветитьEVO III engine by the way 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
ОтветитьI've never seen or heard of the car before and I know cars a Galant VR4?? And yes Mitsubishi complete garbage now I had a Mitsubishi and when I would pull up to a service station in Brooklyn they were told me to f off literally said I went to numerous ones nobody wants to work on them I had the big 2004 SUV fully loaded 150000 miles got it in 2017 and it's $1200 same class suv six to seven thousand says a whole lot and when my power steering broke nobody wanted to work on it because Mitsubishi decided to put the pump behind the engine so therefore you have to remove the engine on top of that they don't even want to work on a Mitsubishi I literally drove a month without power steering going shop to shop 16 shops in Brooklyn searching for a shop that would actually look at it and I would get told f off or take this piece of crap out of here until I found a guy who told you why yes nobody wants to take out an engine for a power steering pump he told him it's going to cost you $2000 in labor remove the engine put it back put the pump you are nice enough to send me to another guy who would possibly do it he has a trick.. and he did it by removing fender and couple of things reaching his and I'm cutting his arm ( he showed it to me and you still bleeding) and putting the pump 300 labor 74 used pump very nice guy or second option was to remove the whole London eat suspension and then putting the pump in a thousand dollars she asked me when I move remove the fender if I damaged something you don't care I said yeah I don't care just do it 300$ now you get the picture otherwise normal people totally junkyard the car the hell really wants to spend all this time searching to repair but it was a nice car so I just it the torture
ОтветитьThe VR4, like most Awds, drives alot better when you get use to using left foot braking.
ОтветитьThat is practically an evo
ОтветитьI used to own 1992 #650 of 1000. Bought it new. I think some guy in Ohio owns it now?
Ответить90’s Japanese cars were THE most interesting produced cars imo.
AWD , 4WS, intercooled turbos, 4 valves per cylinder, Dohc, efi , variable ride height & stiffness, variable valve timing.. the list of goodies just kept on getting better!
...Then one day it all just died away 🙁
This model I saw was limited a 1991 model avaliable in North America no 1992 model.
Ответитьi have 3 galants and i like them all.. i kept 1 for 10yrs
ОтветитьSurprised at the lean in the turns. Thought it would be more level. Lotsa moving parts on this. Wonder about long term reliability and maintenance costs...
ОтветитьMy friend had a 91 galant vr4 it had I thing around 600 whp and he could never have that thing running properly
ОтветитьMy dream car when I was a kid. Now I can't find anyone of these anymore
ОтветитьMy sister in law had a black one fully loaded it was a nice car
ОтветитьIf you ever played forza horizon 3, you’ve probably crashed into these numerous times while going over 100mph
ОтветитьDid like those cars when new, now they are modern usable classic.
ОтветитьCrazy how this 30 year old Mitsubishi is faster than anything in Mitsubishi’s line up today. I wish they get their mojo back like Mazda is doing!
ОтветитьThis is basically the First Mitsubishi Evo
ОтветитьMore powerful than a modern day Mirage
ОтветитьNot many of these imported DSM cars on the road. Not many even imported all together. Like 3000 imported. What's left??
ОтветитьThese Mitsubishi cars were way too expensive. Considered luxury cars really compared to what sports cars there were. But...how badass was the early Eclipses and this Galant VR4
ОтветитьI LIKE IT
ОтветитьBring back dsm
ОтветитьMany dare yo ask what happened to Mitsubishi, I’ll tell you what happen SUVs came and no one cared for Japanese sport cars after the late 90s 😔
ОтветитьI think this is the first of these retro review videos where he actually used the word “under steer” instead of “plow”.
ОтветитьWhat a random great car...
ОтветитьQuality vehicle
ОтветитьVs JDM version
Ответитьw
ОтветитьMy first car was a 95 galant s manual with 140 hp and i put nice 16 rims and tires on it. Very fast for a 17 year old and looked so cool
ОтветитьUnderrated.
ОтветитьGran Turismo 4
ОтветитьNice sleeper.. especially in black
ОтветитьMitsubishi used to make sick rides... Used to...
ОтветитьMitsubishi had some great trim names back in the 90's Base, LS, GS, GSR, GSX, VR-4
ОтветитьCars were so mutch more interesting before. Nowaydays they are all so similar and bulky.
ОтветитьI had a '92 DSM for a few years, a car that was based on the Galant VR-4. I loved it to death and it was suprisingly reliable, mostly cause I didn't try to push 400+ hp from cheap bolt on parts. Kept it mostly stock and the engine hummed like nothing else, even after 28+ years of age that 4g63 would always fire up and run like a charm no matter what
ОтветитьHe forgot to mention, the built-in crankwalk feature.
ОтветитьThe VR4 has some unfortunate visual similarities to a Pontiac
ОтветитьWhat happend with Mitsubishi?? Galant VR4, 3000GT VR4, Evolution, Eclipse....
ОтветитьThat was such a sharp car for the time. I'd love to buy one today if I could find one to restore.
ОтветитьBeautiful the Mitsubishi Galant
Ответить私の父親が昔1800ccのギャランに乗っていた。
