Nice cover man. I just uploaded my own recently. I like your background, wish I thought to do something similar
ОтветитьBravo!
ОтветитьYou absolutely nailed that guitar sound; hats off to you Sir. And you are right, it's by a country mile the best ever twin guitar exposition in rock music.
ОтветитьTHE best INTRO in rock music.
ОтветитьGreat job, in my top 5 favorite rock and roll songs.
Ответитьabsolutely brilliant version keny xx sitting by the fire xx
Ответить❤❤❤Fabulous!!!❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьRighteous cover of this epic classic, thanks! Subscribed to your channel. 👊🎶
Ответитьstanding on a corner x love lou x rip x
ОтветитьNic work. Thanks.
Ответитьvery very good !!!!
ОтветитьOnly the 'old ones' could get the trip ...!!!
ОтветитьHas always been my favorite intro ever since the first time I heard it in 1975.
ОтветитьOh - well done.
Ответитьall I can say is I was at the Lou Reed show where this was recorded. I was about 20 and trying with a good measure of success to get a cute foxy thing to come home with me. Point is this was a part of the soundtrack to our lives and we didn't give it a second glance as the musical history it would become. But isn't that true of everything? I drove down to the show in a 4spd RoadRunner that had I kept would have been a good down payment on a house now. We just had no clue.
ОтветитьI love knowing that other people love this version of this song as much as I do! Excellent tribute. Well-done!
ОтветитьAmazing performances and vocals.
ОтветитьThose two guys really made a great song a spectacular song! They do deserve the credit they never really got. This video is way too awesome too!
ОтветитьAudacious. 😁
ОтветитьHe wasn't a glam rock musician. He did one glam album with Bowie & Ronson. The RnR Animal album is a long, long way from glam or anything else Lou did. Why would you put a third guitar into a two guitar attack intro? Despite the errors in the back story this is a decent fist full of guitar tone & chops. The only Lou Live to beat this is The Velvet Underground with Lou Reed Live 1969.
ОтветитьGreat job covering one of the greatest guitar intros ever!!
ОтветитьNice job!
ОтветитьLou Reed Glam Rock??? Lord, habe mercy
ОтветитьThe album Rock and Roll Animal opens up with a great guitar solo. Excellent album.
ОтветитьGreat job!! Not only is this a great recording but the video is very imaginative also. I would be hard pressed to find a better cover of any song, just excellent!
ОтветитьI'm 65 years young now, Sweet Jane and Rock And Roll are two my all time favorites. My third favorite guitar rock song is Train Kept a Rolling, which is so good everyone on the planet thinks Aerosmith invented it, even Jeff Beck couldn't believe it when he heard fans calling it an Aerosmith Song. I've been listing to these 3 songs since the 70's And didn't know until 5 years ago Hunter & Wagner did all three. I'm one of their biggest fans now, and I was very disappointed with Rolling Stone Magazine's list of 100 greatest guitarist, as these two were not mentioned but Lou Reed made the list.
ОтветитьWhen Twisted Sister was a bar band, on the precipice of their own becoming, I saw them play Into and Sweet Jane at a club called Hammerheads in West Islip NY around 1978 or so. They nailed it so perfectly it was like a trip back in time. Being a fan of RnR Animal since I was about 13 1974-75, I .never thought I would ever hear anyone play that live, but they blew me away. It was unbelievable.
ОтветитьLifetime achievement award. Eventhough it's not a 100%. The time yo have had to put in, to replicate this masterpiece of guitarwork, must have been extensive. No one ever comes close to the finesse and harmonizing of the "Dynamic Duo" Dick and Steve. Steve 75 today and rip Dick Wagner.... Not a fan of the vocals though.. sorry.
ОтветитьMy man, you tore that up!! Well, well done, and thanks for taking the time to do a tribute to those two guys. I was in the 3rd grade on Dec 21, 1973 as my mom and her boyfriend relocated us in a VW van up I-5 to Albany, Oregon. My mom had the coolest music, including the Bad Company album with "Ready for Love" which made me rock the house at 9, and of course Rock N' Roll Animal which I continue to learn more and more about to this day. As I entered the USAF in 1984 I started purchasing my own music and Rock N' Roll Animal immediately entered the collection. I don't have to tell YOU, that whole album is great. Thanks again, you nailed it. Respectfully, JD
ОтветитьWell done..excellent rendition! They just don't make music like that anymore. Thankyou!
ОтветитьThanks for the post … saw the original in Brisbane in 70’s … favorite 😊
ОтветитьSorry, needs Prakash John's thumping bass line
Ответитьgayest thing i ever seen
ОтветитьFrost music!
ОтветитьI hate this version of Sweet Jane. I much prefer the original Velvet (the extended one), the 1972 live version with Lou being backed by the Tots thats available... or even Mott The Hoople's version (both on the dudes album as their Live recorded version from 1973). This version was always too much proggie guitar noodlin... made for Dick and Jane's with their milk 'n toast tatebuds.
ОтветитьSweet indeed.
ОтветитьIncredible job. Congratulations. Who was the third guitarrist?
ОтветитьIf there ever was a true Rock & Roll anthem, this would have to be it. The guitar work on the Rock & Roll Animals album was beyond incredible! I've been working on it with my guitar, and this video was a BIG help. I listen to this song several times a month. Just can't get enough of it.
Thanks so much for honoring Steve Hunter & Dick Wagner with your video. Love it! 💖😍🎤🎸🎼🎵😎
The BEST rock intro ever!!!
ОтветитьI don’t feel worthy, but thank you for sharing. I will cherish this
ОтветитьI remember this note for note. Under rated for sure. One of my all time favorites.
ОтветитьNice job. Maybe still my favorite guitar solo-duet. If it weren't for the lousy singer, I could have been a big Lou Reed fan. Ha! Only years later did I learn it wasn't Lou playing the guitar, but Hunter and Wagner. Wish I had paid attention sooner, would have tried to catch them.
Ответить😊
ОтветитьMan I love this video. Great song, great music, great special effects. Watch it all the time. Thanks.
ОтветитьYes a true masterpiece of a solo, I was dumbstruck when I heard it in the 1970s and still I am in awe, thanks for your masterful homage.
ОтветитьMagnificent. Thanks.
Ответитьall right
Ответитьexcellent...
ОтветитьNicely Done!
