What is the Armenian Genocide?

From April 1915 to 1917, an estimated 1.5 million Christian Armenians were killed by Ottoman Turkish Muslims. Turkey does not recognise the killings as genocide, calling those who died victims of civil war and unrest. The Independent put together a video to explain you exactly what happened.
