Hey guys. We are looking into our power consumption numbers. We run the exact same test every time religiously. We are actually wondering if AIDA changed an algorithm and have reached out accordingly.

Intel i9 isn't a gaming processor, but its too strong that it can play ANY game available. You all tripping. Intel is for professionalism.

Well with this processor if you use Intel optane memory of 32 gb then your computer performance is like a skyrocket. AMD processors may be good but i prefer intel always. Z390 chipset is cool. I personally have 48 GB OF RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE 16GB 3000MHZ each . Intel optane memory 32 gb. Gigabyte ultra durable motherboard z390, i9 9900k. Seagate 2TB hard drive and other cooling system. Galax GeForce gtx 1660 ti over clock able ddr6 6 gb

You don't buy that much power for now for games , you buy it so when its 10 year's old and other CPU's are at 25 fps you can have that extra boost to be above 30-40 fps so it can be playable and not been forced to change the RIG.

So the only real problem that people have with this processor is the price right? I bought it for 408€ new. If the official price was 450 bucks would anybody be so crazy with it being the best?? Thanks

Also the B450 makes it so that for the motherboard and CPU vs 9900k and Z370 / Z390 is actually half the price.

Really qt earnings says your full of shit reviewers don't really sell anybody your nobodies that run benchmarks . So as to earn a income. get a real job. no person that understands self builds pays attention to your sells pitches. They build what they can afford. Not what you clowns recommend. Now your reviews of cases that's a good service you in fact are useful in that area.

Well, best money for performance by UserBenchmark is... Xeon5650...
And TOP 10 is most claimed by AMD...
For i9-9900K you need pay ~205$ more that R7 2700X for maybe 20% better performance...
I don't see someone building workstation with i9-9900K no matter how... even TR1950X is better...
For games more sense has i5-9600K and i7-9700K, 6C on CPU is now mid-range gaming.
But even with those... ~100-200$ more for that 10-15% more is a joke for me.

"But at what cost?"

It was amazing that in some benchmarks the cheaper one got such a higher score. I always used Intel, but I would use AMD if I was upgrading my PC. I will do that a few years from now, because in Brazil it's really expensive to buy new parts, let's say how hardware will be developed by then.

A lot of really low results for the 2700x compared to my experiences with a 2700x on an x470 motherboard. I am running faster ram (3200mhz 14,14,14,30) though. With just auto settings and “precision boost” doing its thing I get a 3dmark timespy cpu score of 9447. Also the Aida 64 photoworxx benchmark a get a score of just over 30,000.

AMD needs some work in gaming, even if it's cheaper, I want to get the max out of my games when it comes to latency and fps. I am getting 6.8 to 8.9 ms frame timing in games, that's EXCELLENT

AMD CPU itself looks good, but its performance really relies on RAM speed. With an Intel CPU, a RAM of 2400 or 2666 is sufficient. But an AMD, you have to go for a 3200 or even higher RAM speed. 3200 cost a lot more than 2666.

I almost bought an AMD processor, but then my friends on the creative side of things told me that AMD are trash in their world because the cores extra don't get used often for stuff like Maya and that Intel had very reliable core compared to AMD, which they said always have failing cores during things like rendering. Ive heard this now from almost everyone working in a creative field but I never hear this on these review channels. So i wanted to ask the forum and/ or channel- Is this valid from what you know of the two brands?

AMD are junk. If you are thinking of upgrading your processor after only TWO years, then AMD are absolute junk. I bought a 9900K and motherboard for £750, with the full expectation that it would be good for at least another FIVE years, if not much longer. I still have a 2600K that is good enough, and that is eight years old. Think of this another way, if you bought the first generation Ryzen, and you are thinking of upgrading to the imminent Ryzen refresh, then you will have spent MORE than if you had just bought the 9900K, and for only similar performance. Every argument that you are now throwing at the 9900K, will apply to the second Ryzen that you purchase, but even more so.

This is where Intel's value lies. AMD are always cheaper, but they have no longevity, you pay less upfront, sacrificing any savings that you might make in the long term. With Intel you pay more upfront, but secured in the knowledge, that your purchase will save money in the long term. When you purchase Intel, you purchase for tomorrow, when you purchase AMD, you purchase for today. Unfortunately AMD seem to have lulled people into their false economy. Paying less, but more often, does not make things cheaper.
