I am a care giver of an active 87 year old. She is a perfectionist and down play everyone. I want to change my mindset as well as I have pull back due to anger. I need to be present with her and ignore her negativity as I learning nothing by being absent. Maybe by giving her love we can both change. I have started painting and drawing and it is relaxing

I usually hate computer-generated voices and never listen to the stories. But this one was different. Riveting.

Being a caregiver is easier said than done! Had experienced it for 3 years when my husband suffered brain stroke! He became transparent and just talk with vulgar words! Sometimes, throwing objects at me when he's angry without reason! I suffered humiliation but marriage is for better or worse, in health or in sickness....😢😢😢

Why do men insist they "need looking after", to be "taken care of"? I have been married twice, both times lied to as I took care of them.Never again will I report to the oven at 5 pm,I will never marry again, as any man my age will eventually need to be :"looked after".Men seem to be so self centered.!Mrgaret was a lot more forgiving than I would have been.What kind of man could USE someone like that for 23 years!
