For darker hair colors (to fix your purple issue), you can select "Greying" (3rd hair color option) select black, and move the slider for intensity.

To get natural purple look to the hair you do a dark blue/black with purple highlights and darker purple greying. Yw

Yep, the Drow are basically the Dark Elves of Elder Scrolls but in baldurs gate.. just like Hobbits are basically the halflings in Lord of the Rings / Tolkien lol

I've found that you can get a more natural colored hair if you use a natural base color and then add highlights of the color you want (black base with purple highlight in this case).
