Surprised witch wasn’t on your list. This list mirrors mine almost perfectly. I’d switch blood rather for paladin as paladins are just solid, reliable damage dealers. That’s mechanics tho not class fantasy.

Well i do really like cavalier class. Sure it has it,s drawback considering that charge ability sometimes can not work o while there is nothing blocking the way or the thing what to do when you miss ,but 2000 critical damage near the end of the game is kinda worth it (especially when you can fell yourself as a khight of the grail)

I can't ever figure out these "kinda spellcaster, but also a bad melee class, but also the spells are bad" -classes. And playing kineticist requires a PhD.

I love Cavalier because I really enjoy the fantasy of a heroic knight fighting demons, not imbued with any magic (except the mythic path)

Build you have posted with 9 swordsaint, 10 duelist and 1 vivisectionist (but honestly scaled fist or swordlord works fine too) is ridiculously effective. Even full 20 primalist with 2 bloodlines is not as effective of cutting through everything.

Scald is a really interesting class a nice mix of Bard and Barbarian which turns your whole party into raging barbarians, while buffing them and being a great melee fighter even on unfair. I just breezed through whole game without feeling any resistance on Hard and it was a great fun.

About 40 hours into the game, I really lost interest in the story. The gameplay is awesome, but being so cookie cutter "angels are good and demons are bad" make its pretty unappealing to me since I like to make some chaotic / Evil choices. Also Angel and Aeon are way too self righteous for me, but Demon seems like the "wrong" way to progress through the game. So I'm playing kingmaker and enjoying it so far

my favorites are Inquisitor, Ranger, Alchemist, Magus and Witch
I like Rogue a lot but they're a little too 'vanilla' for me to consider a top five, and I should technically love Slayer but they sorta just feel like a tryhard hodgepodge of a bunch of classes without enough of a unique theme/identity or defining feature

as far as favorite archetypes (in the sense of 'this caters to my preferences markedly more than the base class does') Archaeologist is pretty high for me, even if they're an objective downgrade. Bards are mechanically versatile, and I have a soft spot for jack-of-all-trades types. But while performances are great support buffs, 'I play music so good that it makes my friends better' is too silly for me to really want to play one (and I find a lot of the stereotypes regarding bards and those who roleplay them to be true). I don't thematically like charisma casters and I kinda wish archaeologists were INT based since... that'd make sense for an archaeologist, but otherwise they fit into my desire to play 'buffer/disabler spellcaster who can also be stabby or shooty on the side' and I prefer spontaneous casting over prepping spells
also, Sylvan Trickster because hexes are never not fun and it adds some flavor to rogue beyond the usual

I'm currently trying out a brown-fur transmuter Arcanist going into hellknight signifier. It's not as gish as Magus, but it has a lot more utility. I personally went with gladiator background for the weapon and buckler proficiencies and going strength over Dex, but I think Dex over strength might make for a better build.

I made a (druid)Drovier x (Hunter)Divine Hound multiclass and it turned out much better than I have expected ! I'm riding a buffed up tripping armored wolf(with mythic beast M.power for universal dr bypass!) My very good boi even tripped that first Lich you see two times :) Casting those sweet nature buffs on people ( aspect of raptor gives everyone +20feet speed lol Chaaarge !) And for myself of course I'm enhancing my AC reducing shortbow with buffs and then with my Judgement of smiting(mythic;endless) ! Bam ! Somehow I made a divine archer tank speed freak nature dps build who can do ranged AoOpportunities and I'm loving it in the mid game that I'm in ! Woof !

Kineticist is honestly one of the easiest and most op classes I have ever played. I always keep on in my party. Maximized Empowered Cloud and/or Deadly Earth Composite Blast will one shot massive groups of nearly any enemy except literal gods. Even The Lantern king could barely withstand 2 turns. Stack stealth and it is super easy to get the jump on nearly every encounter and obliterate everyone right off the bat or close too it. Plus they don't have any real limits like casters so you can do it every fight.

Due to character i play i would like some buffs or strong spells and healing, he is basicaly combination of Aragorn and Gandalf in my mind (Half Elf noble from ancient kings line of long lost kingdom).

No Sylvan Sorc?
Or they nerfed it in WotR?
In P:K I just couldn't make myself play as any other class, it was THE class for my main character.
He single-handedly obliterated ~75% of Lantern King's (!) last form's HP with a single attack of hellfire (!) ray.

P.S. Darn, reading the comments makes me feel like an anthropologist on Mars again. Everyone's favourite picks are my least favourite. Whyyyy...

So my actual build is mean and senseless, chaotic and evil and also toxic.

How it started. As a Intelligence 14, Strength18 mage you were never meant to be the best in class so you learn Enlarge Person, Fast Retreat and well, Shield and embrace the life of a bully in school. A level later, as a student of great knowledge, you decide being a savage motherfucker is your actual calling so you become a Barbarian. Now you are a large, greataxe-weilding, sonic-fast, blood-hungry, shielded dude once a day then you go back into your corner fuming with hate at the better, richer builds. By the time you get to your 3rd level your life is totally out of control so, as the rockstar you are, you start abusing stronger and stronger drugs and you decide to become an alchemist (a vivisectionist to be precise), shave your head bald and have everyone call you Heisenberg. That is the day you try cocaine for the first time. Welcome now to a large, greataxe-weilding, sonic-fast, blood-hungry, shielded, drug-pumped guy that just hammers people in the ground on a good day. Your mother is getting upset though and she tries to get you to finish middle school. This is not what you wanted, you liked going to the gym and harass cute girls but you are also a mamas boy. You learn bull's strength, bears endurance and false life and notice that at level 5 you also get your transmuter boost to a solid +2 to a physical score. You decide to lift small libraries on tuesdays and to limit your diet to liver and mutagens. You go out with friends. You're a large, greataxe-weilding, sonic-fast, blood-hungry, shielded, drug-pumped, ox-muscled, bear-chested (pun-intended), necromancy-dabbling bloke that starts to enjoy life: mowing the law, toasting Brad and - being a mage - reading hand (take-away style). Future looks bright but with enough effort we hope to see it turning dark very soon. Thanks for reading.

By level 7 Strength 29 (19 +4 enhance, +4 alchemy, +2 size) for 2d8+13 damage with our trusted greataxe +1d6 precision from sneak attack +9 from power attack +2 from rage. This build finishes with 2 extra levels as a vivisectionist (longer mutagen and extra precision damage) and follows as barbarian to grow into a better hitter and first liner.

I approve of your favoritism towards Magus. Magus just scratches an itch I don't get from any similar ttrpgs with their Spellstrike/combat mechanics, and I live and die for dem Sword Saint crits and crazy dodge tanking, especially with Archmage Armor added in wotr. I played Sword Saint so much in Kingmaker I swore to play something else going into wotr but I found myself quickly reclassing back to it lol

My favorite is a dex based scaled fist/eldritch trickster. Because neither class can wear armor, they both get defensive mechanics in Cha to AC, mage armor, shield, blur, maybe an AC bracer if you can get one better than mage armor, mirror image. You become a super tank. Throw in flurry of blows with sneak attacks, and your damage keeps up well. Get crane style and dodge arrows from monk, you're damn near immune to missile attacks. Evasion from either class, diamond soul (I think) gives spell resistance, and magic is less effective. Still deciding on a mythic path. Prob either azata, legend, or gold dragon.

what class would be the best for a sorta death knight kinda lich? someone who could fight well in combat while still being able to cast the lich powers?... the main issue is that armor interferes with spellcasting in this game.. so I dont know how you could pull off a sorta hybrid fighter/spellcaster with the lich and still be viable with both.

also... side note... but is there any way to get permanent regen/fast healing like the azata has while being a lich? I assume no... its just the azata with the fast healing was sooo OP that i cant imagine playing a character without it lol since spells have limited uses in this game.
