I still struggle with isshin

I'm almost 50 and with the help of an old mouse and keyboard I managed to get all Sekiro throphies. Furthermore, I only played 5 games in the last 10 years. That been said, if i was able to finish the game, everybody can.

Fuzzy Bearbarian, your guides were fundamentals for me. The way you scrutinized bosses movements made all the difference. And some of your advices were decisive. For example, the use of Floating Passage against Emma and Isshin. Many thanks, mate.

You can also deflect Isshin’s rush forward by timing it. The moment he’s gonna strike, you’ll see a bright flash around his sword sheath. Deflect it at that moment twice and you’ll deal massive posture damage.

It is better to attack her when she starts to sheats her sword.

i think they made this boss fight way to hard three rounds without dying and they have a ridiculous movet set that barely can block like i beaten the whole game up to here and this is where i give up cause i cant do it so what is it designed for people not to complete cause pretty pissed i cant beat a stupid game because of some over powered dumb ai bots

I was going to finish the third playthrough to see all the endings, but life got hectic finally came back to this boss fight 7 months later.. it's rough
Probably just going to start over and actually finish this time as the evil ending doesn't take too long to get to.

6th hour still cant fucking beat ishins second phase

Fuck this fight so hard. Have tried hundreds of times. Best i can do on the 3rd phase is survive for 30 seconds so far.

The 3rd phase is where I struggle. This video helped me a lot with Emma and first stage of Isshin.. thanks man 🤙🏻

You can cancel Emma's sheathed double slash just by hitting her; however, the same can not be said for Isshin.

Floating passage she blocks and your posture breaks she throws you can't get up and dead. Cannot resurrect at all

fantastic guide that trivializes the fight, the only thing id add is that in the last phase when you pull out the umbrella to block the one mind attack you can slowly walk around him so that youre unleashing the combo on his backside and you get more vitality damage.

Seen multiple how to beat videos on this fight, but this guide is the best one. Even better, you are engaging the bosses not just trying to manipulate into one or two exploitable moves.

Thank you for being the ONLY source that mentions his unblockable that is preceded by 2 sword swipes. I kept reading that his non-grab blockables could be mikiri countered but they're both thrusts. No one mentions the sweep that you have to jump over. It's infuriating.

I really don't think this works post patch. The stamina build up you are getting just isn't there now. Conversely, Sekiro goes thru his in no time. I'm in NG++ He also has a 2nd ichi attack that is MUCH less telegraphed and harder to counter

Emma fight background sound... really immerse to the game that you did something bad. Sorry emma.

The only problems I have is isshin being a firebender because I used the umbrella that can block fire but the fire hit me once then I died

Thank you for the last detail where you talked about some of the parts of the floor not being lit by fire. Finally, beat him! So much harder than Sword Saint for me. Emma and Fire Isshin are the hardest bosses in the game.

I have attack power NG+

This helped me a lot in play through 4 but during phase 2 of isshin I used dragon flash to hit him twice from a distance and that helped me finally defeat him

Both Emma and Isshin fight the same as Isshin the sword saint but just a bit of changes so if you already memorised his moveset in his second phase or first so parrying there moves are easy
