Woodworking for simpletons..
ОтветитьHow far in from the ends did you place the hinges?
ОтветитьWhy did you go for hinges then? That cracked me up :D
ОтветитьNice box but not really to sell as it would be priced to high. Boxes like that are pennies in hobby shops sadly.
ОтветитьGreat video mate 👍🏻 I’m guna make a few out of different types of timber and see how I go… btw, how much do you charge per box?
ОтветитьI'm not sure how this is beginner-friendly for people that don't have a lot of tools
ОтветитьJust found your channel today. Really enjoyed this video. Well explained. Thank you.
ОтветитьJust go to the £1 and buy a plastic box
ОтветитьGo all out for everything, including happiness.
ОтветитьI appreciate it. But do jewelry boxes sell? Maybe it's because you're in the UK ( or nearby ) but I don't think this is something you can sell in the US, or so imo.
ОтветитьI actually made a box after watching this. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned and it was an okay box. Going to make another one. Good vid
ОтветитьI’ve been a contractor/carpenter in business for 43 years. I’ve been in the trades for 52 years. I don’t understand the reason for the many pieces and the glue up. I would use wider product and save lots of time and some cost. If the point of multiple pieces is the look of the grain.....well...I get it. But, to me, time is money. Different strokes. Dave The Carpenter in Omaha.
ОтветитьA jewellery box was our first project at high school in the 90's.
ОтветитьINCHES PLEASE LOL
ОтветитьGood stuff, thanks. However, one simple tip for your videography - level your video. Either level the camera, or fix it in post!
ОтветитьTo cut the lids at the table saw, set the blade height for slightly less than the thickness of the sides. The blade won't cut all the way through. Finish the cut with a handsaw.
ОтветитьHi loved the video very well explained and I’m definitely going to give making them a go also subscribed to your channel 👍🏻
Ответить…”…and Bob’s your Uncle!”
ОтветитьThis video is a, “Win, win, win!!”
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video. Might be giving this a try soon!
ОтветитьCrosscut and rip are opposite cutting terms. Crosscut... literally across the grain. Rip... parallel to the grain.
ОтветитьGreat ideas thank you.
Ответитьwhen are you going to start clading the in side Mark ?
ОтветитьBeginner project with $10,000 in tools
ОтветитьYour talking a lot of rubbish, how do expect beginners having hundreds/thousands of pounds of tools.what about showing your skill with basic tools, not planers, loads of clamps and exspensive saws.
ОтветитьBeginner? Providing you have a workshop full of stools and equipment. Surely this should be done solely by hand? Nice video but definitely not "Beginner" more like midlife crisis level with money to burn.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed your video and your humor
ОтветитьAm I missing something? Looks like more than one board.
ОтветитьVery informative.
Thanks a lot sir.
Where do you source your wood from?
ОтветитьHi :D
What is the name of the camera jig you are using for your phone at 10.40?? i need that
Thank you so much for this, apreciated
ОтветитьI’m back watching the video that first got me hooked… Not many more to go. Come on, Mark, get a move on, I’m catching up! (Still think this is a great video because it’s right at my skill level).
Ответитьwhat is the thickness of the woods used in the book : one board woodworking project
. I don't speak English and I bought the book. Thank you for your help
Hey Mark I’m a beginner and love the way you break things down so simple. I’m an older guy just really getting into woodworking and crafts. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI just started doing some woodworking and this is by far my favorite woodworking channel I’ve came across. I followed and liked the video. I think u would say thanks mate! So thanks mate.
ОтветитьSo many ideas coming to me as I get ready to start the carpentry diploma course. Some ideas I'd like to share with you since you might enjoy using them in your projects are basically on the lines of using fluffy material for the outter finish. I have ideas to bring back pure raw bark finishes also for wardrobes, maybe even use the old western pub doors for wardrobe doors and other fun ideas like that, but the fluffy idea I think would sell, and would be great for those looking to use cheap wood that has knots and definitely wouldn't otherwise be used for fine woodwork
ОтветитьHonest question from a beginner. Why glue up 3 1x2's for the top instead of just using a 1x6?
ОтветитьComo enganchar a un manitas en los primeros 10 segundos, Genera GANANCIAS y COMPRA HERRAMIENTAS
Ответитьwhat ppl who dont have fancy tools like yours? kind of pointless video. anyone who have these tools know this alrdy and will not watch it. lol.
ОтветитьI stopped watching the second u started using the metric system …what sounds simpler 2,400 mm or 8 feet please stop
Ответить👏👏👏
ОтветитьYou my friend would be good at building cigar box guitars! I used to build them all of the time. I am better playing though than building them! Anyhow, with that box shape you have there, you could add a top, like a license plate or something and a neck and you sir would have a nice cigar box guitar! I subbed! Can't wait to watch more! 😀
Ответить😮😮😢😢
ОтветитьThat looks like a fun project, awesome =)
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьAnother great video, well produced and helpful. But...do you just love planing, too much! Do you plane your Weetabix in the morning?
ОтветитьUse pallet wood. You can get it free or extremely cheap.
ОтветитьMost expensive tool most people don't have is a planar
