Way too hot for soldering with normal solder.

Fun project, but it would have worked better if you connected the cpu cooler i series with the heatexchanger fully assembled.( indoor unit)That would have made it without faultcodes. ( thou you may have to much restriction in the cpu cooler if you build it "wrong") but should work without problem if not too restricted.

Also to clear something up. When in AC mode. They never go into defrost mode. Defrost mode is always only in heating mode.

use the compressor out of a fridge or freezer to cool a water loop or use that unit you guys already have too cool the water resivoir as you may need over a gallon of water/coolant

As no being a retard with to much money, i just created the air flow cooling system and hang out the computer in a ventilation box out of my windows. it is very quiet, weather save and starts just by clicking on the mouse or keyboard. i clean up it every 4 weeks by simple opening the windows and pulling in. ..and during the winter my computer stays very cool +5 - +40°C. the only problem i had was a 2 meter monitor cable and to drill the hole in the wall to connect Keyboard, power Network USB and monitor cables. we did the same for a friend but he uses everything Wifi and Bluetooth Which reduced and number of cables a low..

As refrigeration engineer this is hilarious, you would be better with a fridge condensing unit setup with mechanical switches and capillary line. You would be able to get evaporation temp down to -30°c, just need to make sure you are fully evaporating the liquid. Maybe on the return put a little heater tape to make sure its fully evaporated before it gets to the comp?

Question.
If i mount a fan and radiator on my pc case without the radiator connected to cpu, would it be considered an AC? I mean since there is nothing that would heat the water in the radiator but the fan would keep on cooling it, it would blow cold air no?

Next step Linus!!!

Build a gas pressure chamber computer case, set up the CPU and GPU to be cooled like that and fill the case with non conductive liquid CO2!

Build it so monitor and mouse/keyboard cables are coming out of it and a power cable is going in.

But make sure it doesn’t lose pressure over time, some solid connections with copper soldering points surrounded by nylon insulation barriers integrated in the chamber wall would do the trick to get those cables in and out. (Nylon window frames with copper windows, built straight into the stainless steal chamber wall)
You connect the cables inside to one side of that and those outside to the matching connections on the other side.

Use different refrigerant! And don’t use a AC use a freezer to do the cooling!

The CO2 atmosphere inside the chamber is non conductive and the condensation of liquid CO2 wouldn’t mess up the electronics!

The case should also have a gas inlet with a valve, and a gas outlet valve on the top of it.

You get a big container of pressurized liquid CO2 and plug it on one end and bring it up to pressure. Then release some pressure on the other side to let the air out, repeat that 10 times. But make sure that the pressure in the liquid CO2 tank doesn’t drop too low so it turns into gas but stays liquid. You may have to change a couple of tanks to do that, you also need a high pressure watching window on one side of the chamber so you see if it’s filling up with gas or liquid CO2 if the whole motherboard is submerged in liquid CO2 there is nothing that can go wrong.

You can cook it at maximum power and it wont burn or oxidize!

After you test it all get the best GPU and CPU out there and put it in that thing and benchmark it! I want to see it all and how much you can push it!

Sure that video would be the most watched computer video of the year if you use a i9 or something the first time and compare the results.

then sumerge the pc in mineral oil it will keep condensation away from the pc you could prob pump the oil in a radiator in front of the condenser so yo would cool the oil a bit and the cpu would get that crazy cooling without condensing issues
