Both relocated from their homes to Chicago, the birthplace of newspaper color comics, Layton Wu and Paul Cherry are no strangers to the heartbreak of long-distance relationships. They condense their deep emotions onto delightful melodies—like enticing comic strips—leading (or misleading) the listeners to come for the sweetness, and stay for the melancholy.
