Pretty sure the second clip is in-character. Not a break. Jake is being silly. It's funny and a bittersweet moment. She also immediately stops when the door opens, showing she needs to hide that it's a silly moment from the bullpen.

It was somewhat in character for her to smile at Jake yelling. She does enjoy his antics every now and then like when he won the best against Amy and she started dancing in the background.
