..i bought them from supermarket i cut both tops head and eat the rest...it very yummy ...we eat them in congo
Nice video it is actually pronounced Ed- doe we eat them in the Caribbean thx again 👍🏽
ОтветитьWe call them Eddoes SVG
ОтветитьI'm from the tropics and I have never in my life heard it referred to as "eddoe" now two people in a row use that name. I'm 77. I know names for them in different nations and languages, mostly as taro (scientifice name Colocasia esculenta). Eddoe is a different related plant (scientific name Colocasia antiquorum) eaten in Jamaica. People need to know that they have to be cooked before trying to eat them otherwise they can get sick.
ОтветитьThey are called ed- odes not edo it is a veggie the tuber can be eaten check out channels from the Caribbean islands
ОтветитьIs this same as taro?
ОтветитьHow do you know when the tubers are ready to harvest?
ОтветитьI tried this last year and a raccon dug it up and ate it. Trying again ,but will use a pot this time haha. This is Rachelle from the Canadian gardening board btw. I hope mine works out.
ОтветитьIt's pronounced Ed- dough not eeed-o
ОтветитьUs folks of Caribbean extraction eat them but theu bare pretty expensive in Athe UK... Will pop into ASDA for a price check👍
ОтветитьWhy wouldn’t you just cut off the bottom half that’s rotten and then plant the top with the new growth in it?
ОтветитьI'm super interested in the 'high pressure sodium lights,' can you direct me to where you bought yours? Is there a more common name to these lights where I can do more research on them? I am looking for a light that I can put on my ceiling that is powerful enough for the plants on my dining room table that will be potted up from seedlings. Something that doesn't need to be raised or lowered as they grow. Sounds like what you are using?
ОтветитьFantastic! I am going to try. Potting mix you use has any fertilizer or nutrient? Is it just peat moss and perlite mix? Believe there's no need to have any fertilizer or nutrient added to the soil to grow tubers.
ОтветитьLike your creepy t-shirt!
ОтветитьI saw elephant ear bulb in lowes, seems much bigger than this one?
ОтветитьIf I wanted to grow this for eating, how does it multiply? Is it like potatoes that will produce many tubers or do you have to create a plant for each tuber?
ОтветитьI hope I can find some in my area ❄️💚🙃
ОтветитьI didn’t know you can grow this is elephant ear. I brought it all the time in Chinese market. I roast it or stem it. Very tasty. I will grow it in my garden this spring. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьThank you. This is definitely something I'll try!
