Very interesting - it's amazingly complex machinery.

These days there's another mechanism in some bowling alleys, involving the pins being held on wires. It looks a LOT simpler, albeit more prone to miscounting when toddlers try to bowl and the ball stops in the area where the pins are! (Because there is no sweeping arm to clear deadwood and balls).

I loved working with these machines. The only frustrating part was timing the spotting tongs. Everything else was easy.

If i have the power to turn into a bowling pin i will just enetr the mechanism and turn myself into a pin so that i can see whats inside a pinsetter machine

I found this extremely fun and informative and very helpful as well in my line of work. I'm curious, do you create videos such as this for
others perhaps? I have a new design for a newer type bowling game. If so please let me know and thanks again for this awesome production. Happy to sub. .

This complexity is why string pins are now becoming more prevalent.

I have some ideas on how to make the pinsetter faster and over all more entertaining:

1, Stiffer Curtain:
The Brunswick GSX Pinsetter has a very loose curtain and makes it almost impossible to bounce a pin out or get deadwood, I think it would be more fun with a stiffer curtain so you could actually bounce pins out and spare the 7-10/Any spare that requires a bounce.

2, Sweep Buff:
Increase the sweep speed so it will go sweep the pins back faster!

With this new sweep speed increase we can go ahead and speed up the rack so

3, Rack Speed Increase:
Make the rack come down with increased speed.

4, Reset Cycle Buff
The Rack Comes down on the reset cycle to check how many pins fall, however lets swap that out for a camera like AMF.

I really hope Brunswick makes these improvements :)

Some bowling alleys use string pinsetters. The string is loose when the pin is standing so it gets knocked over by the bowling ball, but the strings tighten to lift the pins and reset them. Are string pinsetters simpler than that machine you used for this animation?
