3 Minutes of the Game of Thrones Cast Being Disappointed by Season 8

I just started to watch it again and after the first season beig soo good, its strange seeing this clip and rememberig how dog shit that last season was. I don't know if i will skipp the last season or just watch it for compleation sake.

In the last episode the directors killed two great characters, Jon and Dan. The creators lost the essence of both in a single episode, it's a shame because the program lasted more than 7 years.

They killed the show when they burned Shereen. Because not only did that kill Stannis's whole arc completely, it also dead-ended Millesandre and the entire Lord of Light thing. She went from obviously hiding something and manipulating Stannis to just being wrong and useless.

Instead of rewarding the audience for following along and make logical deductions based on the series of event written in a way that is comprehensible, they'd instead decided to punish their fanbase for it. DnD never had the makings of a varsity writer

Its a real pity, had they got the last couple of seasons down correctly it would be one of those shows that everyone watched multiple times.

Before each new season I would rewatch the previous seasons so it was fresh in my mind as the next released.

Instead I just cannot motivate myself to start it over again

How many great shows that stay on for this long have great endings not many because its impossible to give people exactly what they want. All my favorite shows ended badly or unfulfilled. Not one ended how i wouldve wanted it too because the biuld up is always better than the finale

Two groups of actors are so entertaining to watch trying to hold back their frustration and cunfusion in interviews after the ends of their respective series, and they are the Game of Thrones cast, and the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy cast

If any show should have taken the time to stick the landing it was game of thrones. S1-4 perfection
S5 some great moments and decent writing
S6 very solid season

S7 writing is slipping and plot armor becomes a thing

In the books, Qarth isn't some illusionist shithole, but a very powerful city, from which Dany was expelled. By the end of book 5, it joins the coalition trying to destroy Dany's armies and lays siege to Mereen.

We last see Barristan in charge of defending Dany's empire in her absence... where he gives an epic speech.

The last season took away all the re-watchability of the show for me which is such a shame because the first 4 seasons is quite possibly the best television ever made.

From season 5 it got kind of meh and weird then it got weirder the season 7 was pretty stupid thrn season 8 made no sense at all and was rushed and it was a disaster...

HBO and George RR Martin wanted 10 seasons of Game of Thrones to properly flesh out the characters. Dumb and Dumber instead wanted to finish it early so they can immediately hop off to their new Star Wars show. They could've just allowed other writers and showrunners to do the final seasons but noooo, they think that their fucking ego is more important.

Just finished watching this series (took me around 3 weeks). Man I feel deeply dissapointed and extremely mad, i mean it's beyond that but i can't put it into words... Can't imagine how it felt for the people who actually followed the show for 8 years straight 😔
