I tried it on mine. It does it only with the Versastack adapter, because it doesn't stay latched in the back. The normal boxes don't unlatch like that, keeping it attached
ОтветитьMine is solid. There are new options now for that system. Don’t buy to it interchange with other brands.
ОтветитьTheres a cluple ways to remove the handle and completely remove the wheels too if you wsnted to but its not as smoothvand fast as the other boxes that are designed to do it
ОтветитьHey do you think it it would be possible to find a way to get that handle off if you needed it? And how much work would that take? I want to go in the store and take a look and see if there's a way I can finesse the handle off when and if I need it to come off
ОтветитьI have two of these Tradestack systems and both have Versastack components on top - one is the 262 piece mechanics set and the other has a couple boxes of drill bits and such. Since I'm not actively trying to break it, as you have demonstrated in your video, I have not experienced the same thing. Work the latches as they are intended to be used and there shouldn't be a problem.
ОтветитьThey have a tradestack setup for $99 with a tool tote/box for the top unit. It looks pretty sick for the price. there's no other options out there for $99. Maybe the hart box right now at $75
ОтветитьI got mine with the soft tote topper for $99 on Black Friday at Lowe's and I Love it
Ответитьsaw the drawer systems for this at lowe's... none of them seemed like the drawers pull good, one broke on each of the ones in the store
ОтветитьIt certainly didn't just arbitrarily fly off, you were working on it for a minute and forcing it in a way it wasn't intended to be forced. I have two large (loaded) boxes on top of the adapter and have had zero issues. The "epic fail" is misrepresenting a product as being "flawed" based on a subjective option you derived from the situation you created. Den of lies.
Ответитьthese are on sale for 79$ at Lowe's right now
ОтветитьTake it down stairs .....
ОтветитьOther than the cord wrap on the handle, I wish that you would have tested that more like pulling back on it and maybe twisting it. Amazons complaints seem to focus in on the handle as been the stacks nemesis and reason for returns/refunds. Can you or anybody comment specific to the handle holding up through your testing process or actual work place use? Is it all plastic or metal mix? Does it collapse and extend? That is the main support system for the entire stack, if the handle fails the whole system fails. Any comments?
ОтветитьI was in the store yesterday playing with these i hooked the adapter on and was lifting the whole unit with no issues with it
ОтветитьQuestion. Why did you do that show at the end with a Dewalt box and not a Craftsman box on top. I’m just a little confused on that. Oh wait, you were showing us NOT to put a Dewalt box on top. Got it now. My Tradestack just has craftsman boxes on it. Really appreciate you showing that. I was thinking the other day, why don’t I stack a totally different manufacturer box on my tradestack. Thank god I saw your video.
ОтветитьI just want another adapter…..can’t buy it alone😢
ОтветитьI really appreciate this video. I was going to get the tradestack bottom with versastack on top of it. You just saved me!
ОтветитьHow do you pick up the bottom box to be able to put it in the truck full of tools .is there a handle?
ОтветитьStuff breaks when you try to break it.
My versastack and tradestack systems continue to perform as advertised in 6 months of daily use.
Hmmm well I love it so far
Ответитьbut you DID NOT use the vera stack so that might be the ISSUE? also NOTING will be perfect......
Ответитьi dont know it looked like he struggled to get that off. you are also using a dewalt on a craftsman cant blame them for it not sitting right.
ОтветитьMine lasted less than a year. Both latches fell off and the handle split off from the box.
ОтветитьIf you handle things so irresponsibly you'll get similar results with all of it.
ОтветитьAs seasoned pro, I’ve been using my tradestack for the past 3 months and coming from the ridged I’ll say this is a huge upgrade and these are so easy too use and very strong! Great boxes and no complaints here
ОтветитьUmm, doesn't it seem like the back of handle setup will catch steps on that corner when going down steps ????
ОтветитьMine has the same problem
ОтветитьJust bought this system today and out of ridged 2.0, dewalt 2.0 this one is the best priced. I’m able to use the T stak/ versastack. Hands down it is the easiest to remove the cases. It’s a good overall system. I know I can’t beat the Milwaukee but the Milwaukee is way overpriced in my opinion. In note I did go through a few craftsman rolling carts and I did experience what happened to you but 2 out of 5 worked so I got the best one. I will say your videos are helpful in your input because if I never new this. I would have said this is a horrible system And so forth. Overall bear I’m having a good experience with this and hopefully it will last me a long long time. Btw I did not want to buy this but using the other systems I hated a few features on them.
ОтветитьDoes the handle go down all the way? Or was that as low as it goes?
ОтветитьHere in Canada at Rona this damn thing is 289 bucks. No thanks.
ОтветитьTHANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!!!! I will look into it further, I like the idea of them being inner changeable but that's concerning flaw!
ОтветитьI just bought this system this week. Thankfully mine doesn’t appear to do this. Maybe it’s because I have the 216 piece versa stack toolbox mounted to it and the weight helps? Mine has been rock solid.
Ответитьwell first of all that t stack adapter is perfectly strong enough to hold 2 full box on top in tow. the angle in which you broke the stack was not in a angle the stack should receive stress. you are not going to have your stack riding around the back of your truck stacked high either because you can break or bend axles or wheels on any brand! an the tower will fall over..... the adapter was intended for in tow by hand it is not or will not be intended to ride 9 box high lol. you have to think and be reasonable as well as grateful that they didnt make your old dewalt or craftsman stacks antiquated. do not expect your stack to be taller than you and preform to a high standard....
what you did was a stupid unrealistic test....
thanks for the test now we all know not to push the stack farther than it was intended.
im just a little annoyed with the video.
its almost like these modern woman looks of a 5 but they want a man that has a fancy car big house fat wallet while they sit on the couch with a donut and nagging
I purchased the canvas bag that goes on the top.
ОтветитьI have a tradesmen stacker with versa stack boxs also they fit together perfectly I've drug it to job after job with out any problems
ОтветитьI have the same problem with mine. In the end i just need it to hold it in place while I move it around. I won't be messing with it much as I move it around.
ОтветитьJust bought the trade stack it DID NOT COME WITH THE ADAPTER PLATE. I don't really care because I don't need it, but if you do then you are SOL.
ОтветитьI wonder why they want 189 for where I'm at, and 149 where you're at?
ОтветитьI have had this for a few months, got it on sale for $119, however I had that latch fail on mine too. It was on the bottom large box. I was able to re-attach it and continue using it. I do have to be careful with it or it pops off again.
ОтветитьI went to lowes I saw one without the red lock thing & I ask the guys that works there he couldn’t fix it , so I just when with rigid
ОтветитьIt says right on the adapter not to lift up on the adapter plate. You only pull up from the handles and don't touch it when transporting
ОтветитьBut you had to try so hard to make the adapter fail....don't concur that this was an epic fail brother...my TradeStack has been rock solid (replaced my Milwaukee Packout with the TradeStack)
ОтветитьGreat review! I had the same synopsis and I got absolutely DRAGGED by viewers! LOL. I can't recommend it either, especially at the $169 HOLIDAY price it was at when I reviewed it. Toughsystem 2.0 at the time was a much better deal at $149 on sale.
ОтветитьIs it because you used a dewalt box instead of craftsman.
ОтветитьI don't see that as a failure. You can break anything by hitting it. Seems to me like you could wheel that thing anywhere you want and use it normally. All you have to do is not smack it around.
ОтветитьI got it just how it is removed one of my trucks backseats and put the stack there to haul all my tools and materials. It was a good price and feels like a solid system the easy release sold me on it, but i kinda wish i wasnt such a cheap ass and just bought dewalt or Milwaukee just because there’s more options was kinda expecting them to have more options coming for the trade stack system but so far just the same tower
ОтветитьYou'll have to hook the adaptor first then install the versa stack box
Ответитьbut did you actually use it on a jobsite? wheeling it around a garage isnt the same thing.
ОтветитьSame problem on mine
ОтветитьGo Milwaukee
