How to fix shadows and highlights in Lightroom - Guest Serge Ramelli

I am probably missing something here. That image still in RAW before doing all that fixing, isn’t it?

He took a great picture and turned it into typical hdr trash.

not my style took it a bit far with the brushes for me. still a cool video

shadows are amazing things, they even have motion like when smoke comes out of a chimney against a snow background...

Thank you. Tell your friends it's not the camera that takes great photos - it's the photographer. A camera only records light onto a sensor. Some do it with better image quality than others but that's about all. It's the photographer's understanding of light, composition, use of lenses and creativity that counts.

Hi Mike, Your tutorial is very helpful. I am new DSLR user. I use D7000 with 50mm prime lens. Now I want to buy a zoom lens. I like to buy Tamron AF XR Di II LD 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 lens. But this lens have no image stabilization and some people says this lens' focusing is not so quick as nikkor lens. Is it true? As a new dslr user is it good for me to buy this lens? I also keep AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens in my mind. So I am confused which one is better for me to buy. plz help me!!!
