Ryzen 5 3600 vs FX 6300 How Big is the Difference?

You can overclock the AMD FX 6300 to 4.1GHz safely (probably can do more but not safe)

ive had my fx 6300 in my pc for roughly 9 years, maybe even more now.

the difference is that fx loads up to 90-100% which means that any processes in the background, such as discord, antivirus and other things, will still load the processor and fps on fx will sag significantly, unlike 5 3600

This is my first CPU vs my current one. I know the 3600 isn't one of AMD's more high end chips, but it feels like I'm gaming with a supercomputer after using FX for nearly a decade.

I have a fx6300, 8gb of ram and a R9 380 and it can run msfs2020 on low settings and 1080p at 30 fps

Fx-6300 can go much higher than 4.1 Ghz and that's why I like it. 5 Ghz is possible. Not the cores, but the clocks

I still have a fx 6300 rig, it's like the most powerful potato ever and the fact that it can still handle what it does is amazing for how dated it is, you got to factor in that uses ddr3 ram at a max of 1800. If this processor could be paired with new motherboards with ddr4 at 3666 you'd prolly barely be able to notice the difference

AMD fanboys in the comments, stop getting so teased about it. Sure, the 3600 is a decent CPU, but it has such great performance in comlarsion not because it's so strong, but because the 6300 was pure garbage

God the FX 6300 sucked so bad, unfortunately it was the only thing on the market I could afford back then as a poor 15 year old with no job. I also remember how even shitty i5 2500ks and 4250s were so expensive even second hand before Ryzen slaughtered Intel in terms of price for performance. The 6300 sucked, but I got a lot of gaming done with it lol.

FX 6300 might be the greatest CPU ever made playable FPS after all these years...

Man the FX 6300 is still fine. You always have to ask yourself if you really need more FPS or if you could do something else with the upgrade money.

FX 6300 is such an amazing processor! Can't believe all these years later it's playing games at playable framerates.

I bought a pc from my old lady’s cousin and has the fx6300 with normal 1050 in it and runs the games I play pretty well. The graphics on most games are above the normal Xbox one that iv played so far. Can’t wait to update though in general

sempre passei raiva com muita queda de desempenho ate eu ter um conhecimento bem aprimorado de hardware
e a uns dias atraz eu fui no site de benchmark e vi que o FX6300 e 1% melhor que um i3 de 2° geração e 3° geração...
vi que um i5 de 2° e extremamente superior e de 3° e incrivelmente superior
pois não acreditando eu fui atraz de conseguir estes processadores e eu mesmo fazer o teste e realmente o desempenho e supeior.
achando não ser suficiente
pesquisei sobre o i7 950 1° geração
ja sendo extremamente superior ao FX6300 e FX8xxx
hoje nunca mais quero saber de amd na minha vida xD
uso atualmente um i7 4770k e i7 10700k
