I heard that Columbia music group doesn’t want anything mixed into the center speaker because most consumer center speakers are too mismatched vs the main left and right.
Ответить80-90% of Atmos Music is only heard on headphones, so even mixing to a center channel is still essentially ending up a phantom center anyway. I think it depends if you're mixing for the 10% hearing an actual center channel or the 90% who don't/can't.
ОтветитьI’m just going to get 15 of those Sony TV’s with the transducer built into the screen and use em as every channel. Not a bubble of sound, but a hive!
ОтветитьI've heard songs that put sounds like high hat in the center and singer in left and right. Sounds so much better than making everything mono on the center speaker!
ОтветитьGene, thanks for asking the questions from earlier about channel mixes and objects! That was a fascinating watch!
ОтветитьGene, I'd like to get a really good Dolby Atmos Blu-ray album or really good live concert that's really well mixed, and preferably a popular pop artist, like Billie Eilish.
Any suggestions?
I had Apple music for a while for Atmos music but cancelled bc I didn't listen to it often enough to justify and I love Spotify connect so I'll never leave them. None of the other platforms work across devices so seamlessly like Spotify Connect, it's a real shame.
Which software they use for that, I can remember that there were VST effects with Spatial, and one time I tried something and I got a nice result...it sounded well.
