The end result is absolutely killer, and honestly the aesthetic I love straight out of that app. Here I've been saving my pennies for a used Fujifilm from video/photos... but after seeing a few of these vids about the 5D's with ML I'm realizing I could get the look "that's in my head" for a fraction of the cost. Even a used mark iv is significantly cheaper than the cameras I had sitting in my wishlist. Thanks for that.

Wait, so ML doesn't record RAW file types that could be directly imported to Davinci or Premiere? You must convert them and color correct them first? Does it hurt the whole RAW workflow? I want to play with these RAW flexible files directly in Davinci. Can't do that?

Hi @Zeek great video! I was wondering how to export the best best quality and the most flat and unprocessed file from MLV (I would like to have more possibility after, when I'll be in the color correction process). I tried with DNG uncompressed, but when I go into première and I import the file, it's quit different from the flat result that I could se on the MLV preview (the file is a bit less flat and a bit tending to yellow). Did I do something wrong? Would you please give me some advice to reach what I want? Thanks!

Complete beginner here. Does converting the RAW file to h.264 or the ProRes 4444 file degrade the original RAW footage? If so, to what degree? How much are we gaining by shooting in RAW and converting to h.264 (for example) versus just shooting in h.264? Thanks for all of the informative videos!!

After export from mvl app (dng) I want to put the files into da Vinci but I see no video.. I only see every single frame...try for 2 days very frustrating can someone help please

I mean ... Don't you find this color grading software limiting compared to if you actually graded it in premiere ? Isn't it a waste to shoot that great raw and then having basic tools to play with? What's your opinion? Can't I just import to premiere? Or if the answer is no , if i use the MLV just to export and then import the exported MLV footage into premiere , can I still have the advantage of raw information or is it just lost ( like does it become a desaturated regular video imported to premiere)? Hey zeek when I export my clip it'll only export 1 frame is there a way to export the full clip intead of just 1 frame?

I prefer using NDxHR, or NDxHrHQX, 10 bit, to 4k. I lose audio when I convert to NDxHR 12 bit, 444, I think. Anyways, have you done recent tests on getting the most quality out of this system, no matter how big the file might be? Thoughts?

Hello Zeek, one question about this tutorial. You export as DNG uncompressed, but does this have any use. Because the camera export it only as lossnes (compressed ) DNG.

Hi Zeek! Followed your video and exported a video from MLV app in 4K, however, when I export the master file from Final Cut, it shows that it will export in 1920 x 1080 and doesn’t give me the ability to export in 4K. Do you know what I could be doing wrong?

Hey zeek, i got a question, why your full hd setting isnt exactly 1080? ist more like 1790 or something. do you stretch it afterwards to fit 1920x1080 or what do you do about that?.. i want to use my eos m for musicvideos, could you please share some good "settings" for 50 fps fullhd with maybe only 10 bit or so ??

Hi Zeek, I use SanDisk Extreme pro with 170mb/s write speed. Recording with 1080 14bit option. Pink screen flashing consistently every 5 to 6 sec of video in MLV file. Am I doing something wrong on setting? Fixable? Thanks for your help

Great tutorials Zeek! I'm having a problem when exporting. I followed your guidelines but the videos often export much much shorter than the original length. Settings are normal with no in and out points, Mlv files are exported from and too my hard drive. Can't figure it out... any suggestion would be awesome.

Hello man. Sorry to bother you for a while. Can you check out the last two videos I've uploaded to my channel to explain my problem better? My problem is minor stuttering issue with Raw videos .The machine's own mov format flows very well, but there is a slight stuttering of moving objects on Raw videos. For a better understanding of this, you can check out two videos on my channel. Watch out for the jug while pouring the water into the glass, the machine's own Mov format flows very well, but in the Raw video, the pitcher movement gets stuck. I always have this problem. I uploaded my videos today.
