ОтветитьIt’s getting better, and I’d say this is probably the best one I’ve seen yet, but still not there. It’s still in the uncanny valley and I think the three main culprits are the subtle lack of smoothness in his movements, his eyes and his mouth when he talks. Why can’t anyone do realistic eyes? They all look dead. I think one important element they can’t seem to simulate is gravity and the effect it has on the human body. CGI humans movements don’t look like they react to the pull of gravity. There’s no “weight”. So their movements are too mechanical and weightless. The human body has so many intricate muscles involved in its movements that unless they can develop software that captures these extremely subtle shifts, I doubt CGI people will ever be indistinguishable from real life.

ОтветитьI had some experinece with MoCap in the past (mostly thanks to a voice acting background) but this is something else, the highest echelon of the industry right there. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in the new Resident Evil Remakes :)
