ОтветитьTranssion is a major Mainland Chinese phone maker that makes Itel, Infinix, and Tecno brands, so it shouldn't be a surprise that these 3 phones have similar features. It has come out of nowhere to be the 5th larges phone maker in the world, after Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, and Oppo.

ОтветитьMy family is so poor but now that my mom got a job I just realize how cheap this things are now I'm gonna save money and buy for an upgrade mine always lags everytime
ОтветитьThis is quite a good commentary on current budget smartphones in the market, props to the YugaTech team on this one. However, it might be better if there was a brief review of the devices included as these specs would not hold up if the entire software experience is subpar.
Also, a fair advice to those who are eyeing to buy these phones, they have a lot of disadvantages, which might seem tolerable given the price range. As I have already encountered these issues from these devices and related ones, I have listed them below.
1. Virtual RAM
These devices offer only 3-4GB of RAM. This is currently the minimum requirement for the platform they run on, and being minimal, they won't perform that great. To compensate for the lack of RAM, they have automatically enabled Virtual RAM or RAM expansion (depending on what the OEM calls it) which causes many drawbacks for these devices. Basically, the system converts a piece of your device's storage to RAM (depending on your settings). These would be the following;
a. Reduced performance: Virtual RAM is slower than physical RAM, so using it can slow down your device.
b. Increased battery drain: Virtual RAM requires the CPU to work harder to move data between RAM and storage, which can lead to increased battery drain.
c. Reduced storage space: Virtual RAM uses internal storage space, so using it will reduce the amount of available space for storage.
d. Reduced storage lifespan: Flash memory, the type of storage used in mobile devices, has a limited number of read and write cycles. Using virtual RAM increases the number of read and write cycles on the storage, which can reduce its lifespan.
This can be turned off in the settings.
2. Bloatware
Seeing how cheap they sell these devices (no offense intended), they have to find alternative means of earning more from the devices themselves. The OEMs partner with certain developers like Microsoft and Facebook to earn money. These results in apps already installed on your smartphone that you may not use and are unable to be uninstalled using the Settings app. Some platforms may also deploy built-in ads (i.e. Xiaomi), which might affect performance. However, to argue, almost all devices have enough storage to compensate for the storage this bloat takes up, and almost every device has them. It's just a matter of how much and how aggressive are they delivered to the users. If you are willing to learn, you can use Android Debugging Bridge to uninstall them by yourself or root the device to totally remove certain unnecessary features you find annoying or simply senseless.
3. User Experience
The systems deployed on these phones have subpar performance personally. They work, I admit. Please don't expect much from them. They would carry pretty much lightweight gaming (i.e. Pokemon GO, Pokemon Unite, Free Fire, Mobile Legends on mid graphics) and regular social media activities. It would most likely lag on heavy tasks, especially video editing, streaming, and heavy gaming. There have been rumors recently that OEMs themselves update these devices to intentionally make them slower. I can't confirm them, but as time goes by, the UX will be soon disappointing. These devices are designed to be obsolete in about a year and a half, you'd be lucky enough if you could tolerate it longer. I can say this after using a device for over 6 years already and another for 3 years.
4. Camera
The cameras themselves are impressive, I'm not lying on this part. The specifications on paper and the actual performance back it up. However, look out for poorer performance in comparison with mid-range and higher-end phones as these devices often deliver subpar saturation, sharpness, and lighting. Don't expect it to provide excellent night shots, though it might will. Also, these devices deliver good resolution in video recordings, albeit with a lack of video stabilization. If you'd like to bring out the best in these devices in terms of camera performance, I suggest using the Pro mode of the Camera app or using third-party ones instead of the system app (i.e. Google Camera and OpenCamera).
5. Storage
The storage on these devices is considerably good enough at 64-128 GB. However, the bloatware and virtual RAM may throw you off. Furthermore, in the long run, you would really need to clean your storage once in a while. If you really intend on buying one of these devices, I suggest grabbing a 64GB SD card while you're on it.
6. Software Updates
The devices on this catalog have subpar software updates. So much so that you'd be lucky if you'd still be getting good updates after two years. These would mean being unable to access newer innovations delivered by the OEMs and developers per month, as well as security updates and app compatibility.
Once again, these are excellent devices, as long as you don't expect too much from them. If you're a regular user looking for an affordable daily driver, these would be just fine. However, if you are willing to spend more than Php 5000 on your device, don't shy away from those devices, and look out for trade deals, especially this upcoming December!

Is this properly researched? Most of the phones shown are 4gb + 3/4 extended ram which should be clear. It may sway non techy people thinking it's 7/8gb built-in ram.
ОтветитьItel s23 would be the bwst choice
