I've been waiting for this! Thank you for this enlightening series.
I also have rotational issue (not being able to stabilise it very easily at all) - I thought it was just me being a noob.

Been waiting for this one, almost done salvaging all the pieces needed to build my own, and your navigation guide is going to come in VERY handy. Thanks again for these very compact and helpful guides MO Chad!

I believe the O in the game title pronounced the same way you would say ostracized. That's what they are after all astronauts who have been ostracized from Earth.

I noticed you left Core Purge on, you need to turn it of to get the reactor to run at full power, currently it's running rough. Also to recharge your batteries you need set Power Bus to Charge.

There's a button near the top of the nav screen that lets you toggle the visibility of the "No Wake Zones" too - helpful to see when you can begin to use thrust / plot a long distance course and execute it. I absolutely got intercepted by the po-po when I just barely opened the aperture of my fusion thruster within the wake zone. no touchy until out of no wakey. Can definitely start up the reactor tho. "Thrust Cycle" enables the long range planner to deactivate or activate torch drive thrust in the vicinity of more populated areas. (Chad, thanks so much for this series... my tips are not aimed at you as much as they are things I didn't notice when I tried this on my own.)

Very mindful fuel, very demure.

Question, how to increase the amount of reactant that you're using for these trips? Is it He-3 or both that and d20? or is it nitrogen?

I just can't figure my fusion reactor out and i'm struggling to find anything online that can help me. I see that people start up the reactor, and then after some time toggle the ignition off.. but as soon as I do that, the reactor turns off completely. Also, once I start it, the las align and las cap just flash endlessly.. the reactor keeps running but then when I do my jump, it trusts for about 30 seconds and then the reactor shuts down and autopilot switches off... i duno what I'm doing wrong but it isn't working. Everything has been installed, repaired, restored, tons of fuel, cryo and d20.. but yeah it isn't working :(

You do not appear to have noticed - they added a throttle to the Maneuver Drive. You've been playing with it set at about 15% and that's hugely impacting just how fast you can accelerate using the RCS/Rotors. You need to open it up for faster acceleration.

When you said you need two tanks, are orbital mechanics in the game? Like do the planets move and can you do slingshots. Old kerbal player here, and it seems like this might be my new kerbal.

I'm currently on my second ship doing an interplanetary thing. First one worked just fine and I was able to complete the journey. I restarted a new character and built a new, much larger and ideal ship and I'm finally doing another trip. But now my reactor is acting up. It starts up perfectly fine and will idle just fine, but when I engage a course the core pressure plummets and if I have acceleration set too high then it will shut off completely. In order to get it to work I have to have acceleration set to just under 1g and the reactor pressure will have 1 bar remaining and it will run. This means the reactor is running under a vacuum instead of a pressure. The first ship I had would run under pressure with no issues. Anybody heard of this problem?

maybe should be a little more informed when making a beginners guide, the whole point is you know what you're doing.
