Currently watching this in hopes of me not tearing my hair out, because I can not, for the love of everything good in the world, wrap my head around tank controls. The controls are my biggest gripe with this game, but I want to replay it, since I haven't done so in ~20 years. Your guide might be the thing to help me do so without major frustration.

PS: Now that I see this game again, I am astounded that it didn't gave me everlasting nightmares when I was a child and saw this. Jesus, the first cutscene of the woman transforming? How could seven-year-old me see this and still play it?

Gosh, that menu "ting"-sound sounds just like the Win10 error sound, everytime you're in the menu I'm like "oh crap, what did I just do?" when that sound plays.

You're suppose to equip the tonfa before talking to pierce in the beginning. Makes the elevator scene a little bit more interesting.

I never understood why this game doesn't have voice acting, it's very short and has way less dialogue than PE1.

It truly is incredible how none of the parasite eve games are logical story or gameplay continuations to each other. I think 2 is still good unlike 3 because it at least tries and for the most part succeeds at least gameplay wise but the only way the story makes sense is if you just accept the glowing eyes in the first ending didn't mean anything actually or that she didn't lose her powers in the second ending actually.

Loved this game as a kid but could never get past beginning part at motel. I appreciate your videos playing the cutscenes and how quick the playthrough are so I can watch the game like a movie.

PE 1 and 2 were definitely Square's answer to Resident Evil, a bit different but were really good. 3rd birthday was really different and okay, but I think they could definitely revamp this game or remake it into a true beauty today.

There was a lot of Cola ads with Square back then, Aeristh's kebab scene with cola, the advert with FF9 and cola, all the cola throughout this game which is probably worse than a few ads since it's there forever but we can forget the ads XD

my god the thing from this game that always lingers with me is that cutscene w/ the girl in the cafe transforming into a stranger. its so fucking gross but you gotta hand it to square, the body horror in PE1 and PE2 is immaculate. like, the rat? gross. sheeva? gross. the girl? gross. they fucking nailed it

10/10 combustion using , didnt know its so effective. About fat boss: your tactic with necrosis looks risky, just shoot him with right timing (just before the breathing animation) and he will NEVER hit you.
ps: its curious to see your nightmare mode run of pe2 with all secrets and stuff

Love this game, real hidden gem - didn't know about a lot of the gameplay tips, going to play it again with this new knowledge.

Since I just found this channel... is there any chance in the future of a no damage, all chips run for silent bomber on the ps1 (if that's the kind of genre you're okay playing)? Can find plenty of speedruns and 100% runs but nothing with no damage yet.

Carci, thank you for being one of the best play-through guides. You don't rush through things, your commentary is always interesting and never histrionic or over-the-top vulgar, and you give time to give credit to the story of the game. It feels so rare to have commentary that isn't trying to be some bad comedy show.
