Billionaires don’t get to where they’re at by having morals. They reach their billionaire status by exploiting government subsidies and their employees.

Can anyone explain to me why Elon Musk is supposedly so smart? No one has ever given me any justification for that claim. Genuinely curious. He seems like some rich kid who failed upward, to me.

Giving money directly to people and not to special interests are bad to you? What are your values again? Really? Also, the money he gets is because he is solving environmental problems... Are you against that too? What are your values again? It is pretty clear none of this matters unless it comes from you... and you don't really care, do you?

Imagine company A, B, and C that save cute kittens from fires in a completely green energy way. All take subsidies. Company A is the best at saving kittens but thinks subsidies are wrong. However, if they stop taking subsidies, they go out of business.

You are the CEO of company A. Choose your own adventure?

1. Stop taking them and go out of business
2. Keep taking them until they convince their government to stop

I saw this comment a few days ago. I do disagree with it greatly, but that comes with everyone. Tesla has received money from the feds and repaid it with interest early, but that’s not the point. Government needs to give every American with or without a job, a Universal Basic Income of $2,000 a month. And government doesn't have to print the money, they can just tax rich people, like Elon, to get the money.

No. You're blind if you think the government that has been cheating us constantly under the guise of "doing what's good for us" is now actually going to do what's good for us. I'm not for (or against) Elon Musk but there's actually nothing wrong with what you quoted from him. People are FAR better off deciding what they need for themselves than letting the government (and their good ole boys club) decide for them. Period. Overwhelmingly obvious for anyone that is willing to look at what the government actually DOES. "Consumers" is also not an inappropriate word either because it's obvious the money is for buying stuff people need, not to save in the bank. Btw, there's lots of us "poor people" that are smart enough to not want your Big Pharma drug pushing "free" medicare system.
