Ancient Egyptian viewers 🤣
ОтветитьWhy do I care about cat eye bokeh in the deep corners?
ОтветитьI would love to see a comparison between this and the "newer" Lumix S series 85mm f1.8 lens.
ОтветитьIs this lense suitable for sony a6400
Ответитьrich ppl live there
Ответитьwhen this version to canon rf?
ОтветитьOne year later still my favorite camera
ОтветитьHow does it compare to the Lumix 85mm 1,8 when you zoom in on the eyes sharpness wise?
ОтветитьCan't tell if Sony shill or literally the embodiment of ignorance + more money = better
ОтветитьHello guys. What song you have in the intro?
ОтветитьDoes anyone but super picky, nerdy photographers care about 'cat's eye bokeh'....??? I mean really!
ОтветитьI'm sticking with the Sony 85 1.8. Lighter, closer minimum focus distance (by 5cm but still), cheaper and absolutely sharp! I don't think a third of a stop is worth it.
ОтветитьI bought this yesterday. The focus motor is so loud it is not suitable if you use it for video with an on camera mic. i am going to BH tomorrow to make sure it is not my copy. If it is like this on all copies I will return it.
Ответитьnice video, does this lens work with cannon 5d mark 111?
ОтветитьWhat camera does he use ?
ОтветитьCamera reviews meet dad jokes and I'm here for it
ОтветитьThe moment you reattached your lens hood in .3 seconds sadly gave me the realization of how incompetent I am at this haha
Ответитьcompare to the 90mm macro!!! for portraits
ОтветитьThanks so much, just bought this lens and this video did not make me regret it!
Ответитьlove your style! i live in this beautiful town, too!
ОтветитьI really love the way you guys declared Nikon's Noct lens as a weighing standard in all your lens reviews. Lol.
ОтветитьSo I’m thinking Batis 85mm or Sigma 85 Dg Dn, any recommendations or opinions ?
ОтветитьI have this setup. It's not super lightweight, and paired with the smaller Sony body, it's pretty uncomfortable.
ОтветитьLove my sigma art lenses. But as a 1.8 85 owner I'm going to pass on this one. My wife insists lol.
ОтветитьAll right gents, I did subscribed and hope you can move to that beautiful place in this lifetime. :-)
BTW, I would have also made a comparision with the new Sigma 65mm F2 lens as the Sony FE 85GM is hopefully soon retired and we will see an optically way superior 85/1.4(1.2?) mark2 soon at a significantly higher price point.
YOU LOOK LIKE WILL WHEATON.
ОтветитьGreat review. Thank you. I ordered the 85/1.8, until I came across this lens........cancelled the 85/1.8 order, and now the Sigma is on the way. The Sigma retails for 1050 on Amazon, currently, and for this price, it is a no-brainer for the size, quality and the wide aperture.
ОтветитьThe iris is not stepless actually
ОтветитьSigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN, Sony FE 85mm F1.4 GM, or Zeiss 85mm f/1.8 Batis for my Sony A7R4, which one would you buy?
ОтветитьI'm glad Chris acknowledged the ancient Egyptian viewers.
ОтветитьNot sure if it's really optically better than its predecessor which I happen to own. Distortion and vignetting are pretty strong in this new version, and even though easily correctable in post, it comes with IQ degradation. Using a Canon EOS R5, I have no option to use this lens anyway, but even if I did, I am not sure whether I'd make the switch. Yes, I'd love to have 85/1.4 as compact as the new DG DN, but strong vignetting and distortion make it a little less attractive. There's no such thing as a free lunch, I guess.
ОтветитьAny idea if they are going to launch a ver 2 for canon ef anytime soon. Been holding off picking the 85 because of that
ОтветитьYou were the only reviewer that addressed the weak AF performance of fast moving subjects. I immediately noticed that insufficiency coming from the 85 f1.8
ОтветитьCan you select the focus pull distance on this sigma lens when it is on the panasonic L-mount cameras, like native panasonic lenses?
ОтветитьDoes this len work with sony a6400?
ОтветитьI have to hugely correct you guys about the L-mount - The Sigma Art 85 1.4 HSM has limitations with AF-C and tracking. It stops refocusing during af-c and burst shoots (At least with Leica) Because they've simply adapted their DSLR version. With this new 85mm 1.4 DN that limitation is removed and one can use AF-C tracking with continuous burst without limitation and the camera continues to focus track a subjects - I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NEW DN AND NOT THE ADAPTED HSM version
ОтветитьI have this lens and the tampon version and the train is the better lens. Selling the sigma
ОтветитьDear Chris, over all these years I have been enjoying your wonderful camera and lens reviews. Shout outto the video guy who notoriously does a great job in the background as well. You have a serious fan overseas. Best from Zurich, Joe Sciacca
ОтветитьI hope they update their 135 mm.
ОтветитьSo,,Can we say it's better than master bokeh 105mm F1.4??Regardless of weight& size and price?!!🤔cuz i just focus the better result... thanks
ОтветитьHello, what about distortion?
ОтветитьNice review . Chris needs to tan those pasty white legs .
Ответитьhope sigma redo their art series with this smaller style
ОтветитьPerfect combination of size, price and image quality. If only we have a similar option for 35mm...
Ответить
