My pillows are the best pillows because their patented fill is adjustable and holds it's position. It's like having a cut up memory foam in a pillow case and it's glorious.
ОтветитьI have the orange jet boil pan it’s great
ОтветитьOn tip for you all, don't get a backpack bigger than 50 litres. I see some 100 litre backpacks. Insane. With every litre you get, you start thinking, I am gonna need this, I'll take this with me, I should have a spare one... No. 50 litres for one week trip is enough. This way, you'll only have the most necessary items.
ОтветитьWhat about food? It doesn't look like you have any room left for food?
ОтветитьThank You Dan For Great Demo on Packing up Back Pack. Was Wondering How to Do This Love Video❤❤
ОтветитьYour cell phone works great when you dial 911. It too goes to satellite. 😊
ОтветитьNow! I get it! No wonder my chapstick always tastes funny! 😂😅
ОтветитьThe Mary Poppins of backpacking. Great video, man. 👍👊
ОтветитьIs there any reason you don’t carry something like a camelback? I find when I do back packing I’m always needing more water. I carry a 4 litre camelback. Is it just weight that’s stopping most people? Just want some opinions thanks!
ОтветитьIt's really cool that John Krasinsky's older brother is so into outdoor stuff. Just discovered this channel and really digging it.
ОтветитьWheres the water
Ответитьwhere is the fooooood
ОтветитьDan, have you checked out the "Dig Dig" trowel? The Deuce just hurt my hand too much. I switched to the Dig Dig trowel a couple of years ago. It's lightweight, but the handle edges are rounded and much better on the hand. Also has a serrated edge that digs through roots much better. Enjoy the fishing!
Ответитьour backpack looks like a big open bin liner.
ОтветитьNew hiker here. This makes me somehow hopeful I will be able to fit all I need inside 50l backpack. 😅
ОтветитьHiking mates would appreciate spare sets of clothing!
Ответить😊
ОтветитьZpacks trowel is amazing, doesn't hurt your hand
ОтветитьEverything being equal the only difference in what I take between a 2 day trip and a 7 day trip is the food. I may add some extra clothing to minimize the stank. lol. Love your videos. Tons of great info.
ОтветитьWhat the f, might as well take an rv and setup a homestead. How do people even think this is what being in the wilderness is like.
ОтветитьI don’t mind spending money on good gear, but that hoodie is a massive ripoff.
ОтветитьI LOVE the process of packing a pack. I taught it for years to BSA leaders. Then my husband , in the military, who had never packed a pack, needed help. They sent him home with the most amazing pack, lol…..he had no idea what to do with it. It was love at first site. I still backpack, he (now retired) lays on the couch playing video games. His words; “hiking is humping, and I’m not doing it.” I never miss him.
ОтветитьI changed my backpack osprey eather 70-80L to Sierra Design flex capacitor 40-60 to drop weight and force my self to take minimum stuff. I packed last time for 4 days trip, used only freeze dried food (3 per day), sleeping bag, waterproof jacket and trousers, down jacket, sleeping matt, helinox chair zero, befree filter, jetboil, 2 carnisters with gas(one was close to the end, just in case)and 2L bladder plus nalgene 1L. Without water at home everything was about 12kg and I though ''oh great! I dropped whole weight from always 20-over 20kg to 12kg! easy!'' but finally when I packed up all with fully water I had again 20kg backpack! Bloody hell! never go to lighter?! I dont know how people going ultralight for weeks just above 10kg. Seriously don't know. On the end I didn't eat sometimes lunch, walked 6-7 hours and ate on evening as loading calories on the end. Btw I keep tent poles with whole tent outside becuase it's not enough space inside, plus I use those poles inside tent bag as lock them inside side pocket of backpack plus strap them tight. greetings from UK. Tom
ОтветитьDan you have a great personality and make nice content but good god you carry way to much crap. My back and knees get sore just watching. Good luck carrying all of that crap.
ОтветитьThis is like Mary Poppins handbag
ОтветитьVery good video. Thank you!. I do like your channel very frequently
ОтветитьYes I was wondering about rain gear too! Great video though. I have a 40 l pack and have not used it yet and was wondering if it was really possible to fit the essentials in.
ОтветитьDude change your toothbrush. That's disgusting. Your supposed to change every 3 months. 🤮
ОтветитьVery practical and joyful to watch. Thanks for the positive energy!
Ответить@Dan Becker you could cut a line on a thick branch for your trowel.
ОтветитьWhat was the total weight
ОтветитьHmm no hand cleaning things? If you handling fish you'l need that. Or if your poop bags break😂
ОтветитьWhat about a fishing reel?
ОтветитьNo sleeping bag?
ОтветитьGenuine question, is it a cultural thing, or is water in the USA super contaminated? Every US tramping video I see has water filtration/purification equipment.
From New Zealand, decades of hunting and tramping, and I've never even heard of such a thing!
Didn’t read all the comments but the elephant in the room is a bear. Bear canisters. I don’t know of a pack manufacturer that is designing for them. And my backpacking usually is in areas where it’s mandated.
ОтветитьThank God they'll literally send it to you. I'd hate to spend all that money for them to figuratively send it to me.
ОтветитьWhere do you Put food and maybe extra set of clothes?
ОтветитьMy chair would always sink into the ground
ОтветитьI didn't know that usa doesn't have viruses
ОтветитьThe backpack was a paid actor
ОтветитьGood day to you!
I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan.
Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video.
Your outdoor video is so nice!
Awesome!
Full supported !
Have a nice day my friend!
What about a spare change of clothing in your dry bag?
ОтветитьHey. Just wondering if jetboil recommends eating food straight out of the provided pot
Or if they want you to use a separate pot or pan for eating food
Did I miss it or there are really no extra clothes in that bag?
ОтветитьHyperlite backpack? It looks like a trashbag
ОтветитьWait no food????
ОтветитьWhat a clever way to plug that turborant ad lol nice vid brother
ОтветитьWhere is your water going when you're packing all your bottle holders?
Ответить
